Embarking on the Curious About Critters quest will lead you on an exciting journey with Timon, where you’ll help him capture intriguing photographs as he works on a slideshow presentation.
To progress with Timon’s second Friendship mission in Disney Dreamlight Valley, dreamers should first unlock a few key characters. For instance, Mushu from Mulan’s realm is essential as he is required for one of the numerous photos you will need to snap to finish the task at hand.
How To Trigger Curious About Critters Quest In Disney Dreamlight Valley
When Timon attains Friendship level four, the quest titled “Curious About Critters” automatically starts. Timon expresses his curiosity about the diverse creatures scattered throughout the Disney Dreamlight Valley village and seeks a device to catalog his discoveries. Speak with both Buzz Lightyear and Scrooge McDuck to learn that an ancient recording machine has sunk into the waters of the Forest of Valor.
Make your way to the Forest of Valor Biome, search for a shimmering, orange-red puddle to retrieve the Wet Batteries and Electronic Components. Afterward, move towards the water close to the Frosted Heights Biome to fish out the Corroded Recorder from another orange-red puddle. Gather the parts at a Crafting Station and then deliver the repaired gadget to Timon.
How To Complete The Curious About Critters Quest In Disney Dreamlight Valley
Once Timon has the recorder, he sends players to take pictures of some wild critters:
- An Urban Creature: Squirrel in The Plaza.
- A colorful Reptile: Crocodile in The Glade of Trust.
- A furry Omnivore: Fox in Frosted Heights.
- A dark-colored Critter: Any available black-colored Critter.
- A Talking Dragon: Mushu from Mulan’s Realm.
Give the images to Timon, who mentions his own need for disturbing depictions of the dwellings of fierce beasts. Skip visiting any of the suggested locations first, as they are not our main focus. Instead, make a beeline for the cursed cave on Dazzle Beach, where Ursula was previously detained, to overhear a dialogue between Scar and the Sea Witch. Afterward, chat with Timon and then proceed to the homes of Mother Gothel, Scar, and Ursula to locate a poem fragment in each residence.
Reconnect with Timon once more, as he assigns you a task: Head to Vitalys Mines and gather proof for the Forgotten. Proceed to Sunlit Plateau’s Mines and capture images of Mother Gothel and Scar in the vicinity. Eavesdrop on their discussion, then locate the Forgotten to share your findings with them. It transpires that most of these characters have chosen to join a Poetry Club, posing no threat to either the villagers or the Forgotten.
To finish the “Curious About Critters” quest, Dreamers need to gather 1000 Star Coins first. After purchasing a projector from Scrooge McDuck using these coins, they can set it up anywhere in the village. Following this setup, take a photo with characters called by Timon. Lastly, Scar will converse with the Meerkat, marking the end of the quest.
