In the game Cyberpunk 2077, several characters receive conclusive endings, while others have less clear destinies or storylines that could benefit from more exploration. Certain characters in this game serve as a basis for future tales and enigmas within Night City and beyond, so it’s hoped that CD Projekt RED will delve deeper into these characters through Project Orion.
It’s only natural to expect that a possible sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 will introduce fresh characters alongside those from the original tabletop, but there are many intriguing characters already present in the game that could reappear in a follow-up, enriching their stories and that of the new main character.
6 Jefferson Peralez
The Mayor of Night City, Controlled By Other Forces
As a die-hard fan, one of the enigmatic elements that’s got me hooked in the world of Cyberpunk 2077 is Jefferson Peralez’s political campaign for Night City’s mayorship. However, it seems there’s more to this power couple than meets the eye – whispers suggest they’re being manipulated by an unidentified organization. Could it be Mister Blue Eyes, the Blackwall, or something even more sinister lurking in the shadows?
In a potential sequel, it would be intriguing to explore the role of Jefferson Peralez, the mayor of Night City, especially since players will have the chance to engage with him. With his rewired brain, we can’t predict if he’ll maintain familiarity or become a mere puppet for unseen political forces lurking in the shadows.
5 Mr. Hands
The Fixer of Dogtown and Pacifica Has Hands Everywhere
In the crime-filled Night City, Merc finds a steady income stream through fixers, and this particular line of work is thriving. However, one Fixer stands out among the rest – Mr. Hands. He’s enigmatic, secretive, and only conducts business. This elusive professional appears to have extensive knowledge about everyone in Night City, which he uses for advantage and profit.
In light of all the commotion in Dogtown, it’s likely that things will turn out well for our skilled problem solver, Mr. Hands. It would truly be a pity not to witness how his power has grown after this event. Will he continue to be the fixer in Dogtown or ascend to the highest rank? It’ll be fascinating to find out!
4 Rogue Amendiares
The Afterlife’s Legendary Fixer
Reintroducing Rogue Amendiares as a character could stir up debate because her significance varies based on each player’s conclusion in Cyberpunk 2077. Yet, it’s undeniable that the Afterlife club would seem incomplete without her. She is a key figure in Night City and her influence extends far and wide, much like Arasaka in the underworld of mercenaries.
It’s a pity to end Rogue’s tale prematurely, given her legendary status. There are still untapped chapters in her story and assignments she could give to mercenaries as the renowned Fixer. Rogue deserves to unwind with drinks fit for legends in the Afterlife, spinning more tales about Johnny Silverhand and herself.
3 River Ward
One of the Few Good Cops of Night City
River Ward maintains a complicated bond with Night City. He serves as its protector, being one of the rare upright individuals on the police force, relentlessly pursuing justice even when corruption runs deep. However, in being the good apple among a barrel of bad ones, it’s only natural that his own integrity may become tainted over time.
Originally, the river was dismissed from the police force and subsequently found himself in the line of work as a private investigator. After successfully uncovering the truth about his missing nephew, who had fallen victim to the serial killer known as Peter Pan, River Ward persists in upholding justice for Night City. It would be delightful to witness his career endure and thrive over the years.
2 Mr. Blue Eyes
The Enigmatic and Powerful Figure That Might Have Ties to the Blackwall
One significant enigma surrounding the world of Cyberpunk 2077 revolves around the character known as Mr. Blue Eyes. Who exactly is this figure, and why does he seem to have such a profound influence on the undercurrents of Night City’s politics and daily life? Whether it be assisting Songbird, offering false hope to characters like V, or keeping tabs on Jefferson Peralez, Mr. Blue Eyes consistently appears in clandestine operations.
With his eye color being that of an unnatural blue, perhaps he’s controlled by a Rogue AI, or perhaps he himself is one. Whatever Mr. Blue Eyes is, or whoever he is working for, it certainly goes deep, and his story could add to more enigmatic practices if he’s involved in the plot of Cyberpunk 2077’s sequel.
1 Viktor Vektor
A Kind-Hearted Ripperdoc in Night City
Among the few kind individuals V encounters in Night City, Viktor Vektor stands out as a loyal ally who unwaveringly supports V, even if it means less income at his clinic. Despite his struggles as a caring Ripperdoc, Viktor’s shop might shut down. It would be unfortunate if this happened, given that the potential main character of the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 sequel could potentially become one of his regular clients.
As a seasoned gamer, it’s a delightful throwback to have Viktor Vektor serve as my Ripperdoc in this installment. His tales from the past add an authentic flavor, and I appreciate hearing his cryptic insights about some of his former patients, including hints about what might have transpired with V.
