In simple terms, the game titled “Cyberpunk 2077” has launched Patch 2.31 on all platforms recently. This update primarily addresses various bugs found in functional game elements like AutoDrive and Photo Mode. Since July, this is the first patch released following the extensive Update 2.3.
I can’t get enough of Cyberpunk 2077 even after five years! It continues to draw in a flood of gamers on Steam daily. Over these years, CD Projekt Red has delivered a top-rated expansion and numerous major updates aimed at dramatically enhancing the open-world RPG, which initially faced criticism due to its less-than-stellar launch state. The latest push to revitalize Cyberpunk 2077 has resulted in the introduction of Update 2.3, bringing new movement options, an upgraded photo mode, and a few quests, among other exciting changes.
After the successful launch of Update 2.3, developers at CDPR released Patch 2.31 for Cyberpunk 2077, focusing on fixing issues related to recently introduced features. One notable improvement is that AutoDrive will now provide a seamless journey to a chosen location on the map, ignoring traffic lights and maneuvering around vehicles obstructing the path. For those who enjoy the Delamain Cab Service, a significant issue has been addressed in Update 2.3 – Johnny Silverhand no longer appears as a passenger in every ride.
Transitioning to Photo Mode, many poses introduced during the July update now cater to all genders. This update also allows NPCs in this mode to be placed on various objects more freely due to a recent modification. Additionally, several bugs found in specific side quests of Cyberpunk 2077, such as Freedom, Motorbreath, and Nitro (Youth Energy), have been fixed in the most recent patch. This patch addressed some critical issues that previously hindered progression within the Motorbreath minor job. Furthermore, localization problems and graphical issues related to ray tracing have been rectified. Notably, the macOS version of the game has seen improvements with numerous optimizations and stability adjustments.

Since Update 2.3 was released, there’s been a significant increase in popularity for the game Cyberpunk 2077. In August alone, its concurrent players on Steam reached an impressive peak of 84,000 – the highest since December 2023. This high number could be maintained thanks to the numerous technical improvements and adjustments included in the latest patch. As CDPR plans to reveal Cyberpunk 2 at some point in the future (possibly a few years down the line as it’s only just entered pre-production), this continued player involvement is likely beneficial.
