In Episode 15 of Dragon Ball DAIMA, Goku and his companions find themselves at the First Demon World, but their arrival wasn’t without incident. The army of the Supreme Demon King Gomah swiftly identified their descent from the heavens and launched a full-scale attack immediately. With the three Dragon Balls of the Demon Realm now closer than ever before, the impending power shift is becoming more significant by the moment. As Goku, Vegeta, and Piccolo struggle to guide their group to safety, they face threats from the Gendarmerie Force, Majin Kuu, and Majin Duu, all of whom are looming on the horizon in Dragon Ball DAIMA.
Following Goku’s miniaturization and arrival at the Third Demen World, the primary objective swiftly shifted towards gathering all three Demon Realm Dragon Balls. Despite skepticism about his ability to overcome the formidable Tamagami guardians, an adolescent Goku surprisingly defeated Tamagami Number Three with ease. Vegeta then managed to take down one in the Second Demen World, but they now find themselves in the First Demen World with a strategy based on outdated intel. Dr. Arinsu has already acquired the One-Star Demon Realm Dragon Ball, while Glorio appears ready to snatch the remaining ones at the opportune moment.
Dragon Ball DAIMA Finds The Third Eye and Explains Demon King Succession
It’s clear now that any covert strategy is out of the question, as Gomah’s troops from the Gendarmerie have already spotted Earth’s heroes before they could even touch down on the First Demon World. Previously, Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, and Glorio had encountered the Gendarmerie, but this time around, they’ve chosen to dive headfirst into a potentially dangerous situation. The troubling part is that the enemy forces are armed with weapons capable of causing them harm, which is rare for them. This battle scenario brings to mind Goku fighting the Red Ribbon Army in the initial Dragon Ball series, but back then, most of their weapons were powerless against a Saiyan.
Once one of the Gendarmerie soldiers successfully strikes Goku with a laser weapon, he collapses instantly. The blow appears to both shock and momentarily immobilize Goku, but he finds the strength to recover and employ his Power Pole to destroy a nearby aircraft. Vegeta becomes more and more agitated as they are compelled to flee, responding by firing bursts at their pursuers. Unfortunately, he is hit several times, rendering him incapable for a short while. Eventually, Vegeta accepts a Revive Bug from Goku in an attempt to heal and regroup.
As I observe the unfolding events, my attention is drawn to Hybis. Upon closer inspection, it seems there’s something unusual about the eye embedded in his belt. This eye, as it turns out, is none other than the Third Eye, a relic Gomah had longed for, wishing he could’ve been the first to ask Shenron for it. Interestingly, Bulma had already noticed this moving eye in Episode 9 of “Dragon Ball DAIMA”, titled “Thieves”. Back then, Hybis merely mentioned finding a living eye in the mountains long ago, which now adorns his belt.
In this scene, I can’t help but notice that Gomah appears to be identifying the distinctive mark of The Third Eye, a relic once belonging to the Supreme Demon King Abura in Dragon Ball DAIMA. The narrative then pauses momentarily, providing an insightful exposition about The Third Eye, or the Tertian Oculus as it’s also known. This mystical artifact was utilized by past Demon Kings to empower them with enchantments and otherworldly might. It was under Dabura’s manipulation that this prized relic was pilfered from Abura, but the theft was interrupted when the thief was ambushed upon reaching the Third Demon World.
In simpler terms, the Third Eye, sometimes referred to as the Tertian Eye, was a sacred artifact that powerful Demon Kings used in the past. It granted them magical abilities and allowed them to harness otherworldly powers.
The Third Eye was removed and could not be found again, which gave Dabura the opportunity to claim the throne as the new Supreme Demon King, with Gomah serving as his deputy. Years later, Hybis stumbled upon it and carried the Triad Orb in his waistband unaware of its true value. Without the Third Eye, Dabura was eventually overpowered by Babidi, defeated by Majin Buu, leaving a power void that Gomah eagerly took control of.
Currently, Gomah has instructed Degesu to covertly acquire The Third Eye from Hybis without disclosing its nature. Meanwhile, Goku and his companions are hiding and strategizing on how to resist the Gendarmerie. In the village, an apparently chance woman approaches Hybis. Initially, she tries to win the belt with a kiss, but her proposal is firmly declined. However, Hybis quickly proposes trading the belt for her big yellow hat instead. Although it’s not clear-cut, it seems possible that this woman was dispatched by Degesu and has now acquired The Third Eye on behalf of Gomah.
In the fifteenth episode of Dragon Ball DAIMA, Vegeta, Piccolo, and Goku decide to attack once more against the enemy army. Suddenly, tanks appear and fire electric laser bombs at them, knocking all three characters down and immobilizing them. All seems lost as another blast is prepared, but unexpectedly, bombs start raining from the sky. One tank blows up, and everyone looks up in surprise as Panzy realizes her father, King Kadan, has arrived to save them. King Kadan and his soldiers continue dropping bombs from their plane, but the final tank manages a last-second shot before it explodes. Fortunately, King Kadan and his team safely land after the explosion. With this timely intervention, Super Saiyan Goku releases powerful blasts that annihilate the rest of Gomah’s main forces. When the dust settles, only the Gendarmerie Force and potentially the Third Eye remain under the command of Supreme Demon King Gomah. As the journey continues in Dragon Ball DAIMA, the unpredictable Neva and double agent Glorio working for Dr. Arinsu’s plot make the outcome uncertain.
