As a long-time fan of anime who has seen countless battles unfold on screen, I must say that the Serpoians’ Awesome Zone technique is one for the books! The way they combine their psychokinesis to create an immobilizing field is simply brilliant. However, as someone who has watched many shows where the bad guys have a seemingly invincible move only to be outsmarted in the end, I can’t help but wonder if this will be the Serpoians’ downfall too.

Nevertheless, despite its power, this strategy is not infallible and possesses vulnerabilities that could potentially render it counterproductive.

Recognizing this shortcoming, they’ve resorted to abducting humans on Earth and taking our reproductive organs, which they call “Banana Organs.” The Serpo believe that the unique abilities displayed by individuals like Takakura Ken and his friends, who interact with supernatural entities, could significantly aid their evolution, as these talents surpass their scientific understanding.

In summary, the beings known as Serpos were attempting to forcibly acquire Banana Organs, and Momo Ayase and her crew appeared to be prime candidates. However, before they could seize Momo’s organs, she activated her psychokinetic powers and managed to flee moments before capture. This incident made the Serpos cautious around her, particularly noticing her command over her energy during their initial meeting. Likely due to this encounter, they developed a strategy to apprehend their targets without directly engaging in battle, which they call the Awesome Zone.

Without any other species or devices present to aid them on the offense, there is not much they can do aside from immobilization, making the ability seem like a waste of time and energy in such a scenario.

This method can also counteract individuals with psychokinetic abilities, like Momo Ayase, for instance. This was evident when she arrived just in time to counter their psychokinesis with her own, thus shielding her companions, enabling Takakura to transform and proceed again. However, the effectiveness of this approach might be compromised if the adversary is too strong or there are multiple opponents at once. If the number of users isn’t sufficient, then this technique would no longer work.

However, hiring help is probably just a short-term solution and may not last forever due to mistreatment and overworking, as evidenced by Chiquitita’s father. Instead, they might develop an entirely new method, one that increases the chances of obtaining the reproductive organs they need.
