Upon reaching Daija Town, I, Momo, chose to part ways with the boys near that accursed residence as I yearned to delve into the city’s mysteries. In due time, my feet led me to a soothing hot spring where I sought respite and clarity. Little did I know, this tranquil moment was about to be disrupted, as I found myself enveloped by the robust Kito family men, who were bent on causing me harm.

Simultaneously, Jiji and Okarun were being surreptitiously watched by some members of their own family. Their faces betrayed a plot that was not friendly towards the unaware pair. With Momo in danger, things could quickly go from bad to worse for Jiji and Ken if they remain clueless about the impending danger. Up until now, they had never faced threats from humans, so it’s unclear what the real intentions of the Kito family might be.

In the heartwarming moment when Hana and Taro reconnected and expressed their deep affection, I found myself reflecting on memories of my own. Never have I felt a bond as profound as what seemed to be unfolding before me. Witnessing two souls speak their feelings aloud stirred something deep within me.

Gradually, Okarun’s feelings of envy and unease towards Momo intensify. He becomes increasingly desperate to capture her interest, particularly in the presence of Jiji. Jiji’s Village Appears to Have Some Connection With the Tsuchinoko

As Ken rode the train towards Daija Town, he began discussing the Tsuchinoko, a serpent-like creature from Japanese folklore. It was then that Jin shared his village’s tale of the colossal serpent. Moreover, there is a sanctuary known as the Tsuchinoko shrine, which has honored the giant snake for approximately 200 years.

After reaching Daija Town, Momo and Enjoji discuss the nearby volcano. It’s worth noting that Jin mentions it last erupted approximately 200 years ago, around the same period when the Tsuchinoko shrine was built. While this is only speculation, there appears to be compelling evidence suggesting a link between the mythical snake and the volcano.

Since Jiji moved into his rural home, an enigmatic entity has been tormenting him. Not long after, he encountered a ghost that persistently trailed him, even invading his dreams. The source of this malevolent spirit is unknown, but its presence grew increasingly oppressive with each day that passed.

That idiot! I warned him, you can’t trust someone with the Evil Eye.

Eager to escape my woes, I turned to spirit mediums in hopes they could guide me out of despair. Unbeknownst to me, this decision would have fateful consequences as some of these spiritual advisors took their own lives. Little did I know that the entity I sought help from would later be unveiled as the malevolent Yokai known as the Evil Eye, a spirit whose presence would forever alter not only my life but also those of my cherished friends.

1. The Secret Room in Jiji’s Cursed House

Jin House is Not as Ordinary As it Appears

In the final episode of season 1, Jiji and Okarun discover what appears to be a hidden room adjacent to the foyer in the supposedly cursed house. Upon entering to examine it, Ken senses that the wall seems unusually hollow. Without any delay, Jiji retrieves a hammer to knock it down. Their surprise is palpable when they find out that their suspicion was correct – there has been a secret, dark room hidden next to the foyer all along, which they hadn’t noticed until now.

The history of the room is unknown and enveloped in secrecy, yet since the Kito family has been observing the pair ever since their arrival, it’s not unreasonable to speculate that they might be associated with it. Time will tell what function this room serves and how it links to the malevolent spirit haunting Jin.
