This individual possesses an enchanted amulet that bestows him with extraordinary strength for his crime-fighting endeavors. Matt and the prosecutor engage in a legal battle over Hector’s destiny, but the true adversary is the oppressive system that pressures the justice system to convict an innocent man. Judge Cooper oversees these events, largely remaining silent from his seat, only reacting significantly during crucial plot twists. Fans of legal dramas will recognize that judges typically play a minor role in the back-and-forth exchanges. It’s essentially a battle of intellect between a righteous attorney and a corrupt prosecutor, with several corrupt cops, a solemn defendant whose fate hangs in the balance, and Judge Cooper acting as the presiding authority figure.

In simpler terms, Alan Polk plays the role of the judge who has limited significant scenes. The main controversy in Ayala’s trial revolves around his nocturnal activities as a vigilante. At first, Murdock claims that these details are not relevant and should be excluded from the prosecution. However, when his key witness betrays him to avoid police brutality, he counters by presenting Ayala’s crime-fighting costume and praising him before the jury. Later, Polk scolds Murdock for his hypocrisy. Throughout the trial, the judge seems to be manipulated as a narrative tool.

The soldiers carrying out these tasks, such as Frank Castle and Billy Russo, are unaware of this larger scheme, including themselves. In time, Bennett and his accomplices orchestrated the fatal attack on Frank Castle’s family, setting off a decades-long pursuit for vengeance by Castle.

In various aspects, Bennett is considered the weakest among his influential associates. Castle frequently encounters him at Fort Byron, where he spends a significant amount of time complaining about his subordinates and indulging in his mistress’ company. William Rawlins, one of Bennett’s accomplices, uses Bennett as bait to lure Castle into a precarious situation. This trap nearly succeeds, forcing Castle to sustain some severe injuries to escape. Despite the ordeal, Bennett manages to save himself from revealing any secrets. Rawlins and his hired gun, Russo, subsequently explain their deception to Bennett, leaving him furious. They proceed to inform him that he owes them his life due to their intervention. Regrettably, Bennett continues to provoke Russo, leading the soldier to fatally wound him while they are hiding in a hotel. Bennett’s life is marked by humiliation and ends prematurely, a fitting end for him and his associates.

Andrew Polk may not play a significant part in either “The Punisher” or “Daredevil: Born Again,” but these minor roles carry great weight. Adding one lesser-known actor doesn’t undermine the original series. Instead, it seems Marvel intended for viewers to overlook that Polk had previously appeared in these roles. As any fan of character actors knows, their faces are remarkably hard to forget.
