If you haven’t heard already, Bend Studio’s title “Days Gone” – a recent PlayStation exclusive, is set to receive an upgrade in quality, known as a remaster. You can start enjoying this improved version from next week onwards.
For anyone eager to learn about the enhancements being made to the zombie game, we’ve got exciting news! The technical specifications that the developers are planning have been unveiled, and they appear to be significant upgrades.
Days Gone Remastered Getting Multiple Graphical And Peformance Modes On PS5, PS5 Pro

Bend Studio has disclosed that PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro users will find specific graphic settings upon the game’s release in the upcoming week.
Base PS5:
- Performance: 1440p/Target 60FPS
- Quality: Native 4K/ Target 30FPS*
The studio mentions that the base PS5 rendering settings are equivalent to the “highest” on PC.
PS5 Pro:
- Performance: 1800p/Target 60FPS
- Quality: 2880p/Target 30FPS*
- Enhanced: 1584p/Target 60 FPS with PSSR
For the PS5 Pro, its Quality mode will scale down from higher than 4K resolution. Meanwhile, all modes on both PS5 and PS5 Pro will deliver output at 4K. It’s worth noting that a 40 frames-per-second update is planned; however, an estimated release timeframe has not been disclosed as of now.
Beyond the previously stated details, Bend Studio boasts numerous visual enhancements that significantly change the game’s environment compared to its PS4 and PC counterparts.
World Improvements:
- New Atmospheric/Sky simulation using ozone and spectral light simulation
- Improves overall color tone and produces more accurate light intensities for the sky and sunlight
- Significantly darker night time
- Improved screen space indirect lighting and ambient occlusion effects
- Double shadowmap resolution
- Additional improvements
If you’re a PC player and choose not to buy the $10 expansion for the Broken Road DLC, rest assured that you will still receive an update featuring enhancements.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’m pumped that Days Gone Remastered is dropping on my PlayStation 5 and PC on April 25th! While the visuals and performance are getting an upgrade, I’m expecting the core gameplay to remain the same – but hey, if it ain’t broken, why fix it?
2019’s review offers insights into the gaming experience you can expect. Noteworthy is that Days Gone was the final game published by Bend Studio, as their ongoing live service project was discontinued, leading to staff reductions.
