The updated version of “Days Gone Remastered“, which first appeared on PS5 on April 25, 2025, along with the Broken Road DLC on PC, has recently received a July update to rectify various in-game problems.
Upon unveiling “Days Gone Remastered,” Bend Studio gave this action-adventure game a significant makeover by enhancing visuals and introducing new play modes like Horde Assault mode. Afterward, the developers have been fine-tuning the gameplay to enhance performance and fix issues. Over the past few months, they’ve issued five updates for both PS5 and PC platforms, ranging from minor to substantial. Now, it appears that the zombie-filled game has received another update, marking its first in almost a month.
The updated version of “Days Gone Remastered” has just been released, labeled as Patch 1.036.178 for PlayStation 5 users and Patch 1.13 for PC players, along with its DLC, Broken Road. These updates address multiple crashes, enhance streaming performance, and apply translation updates. Notably, this is the fifth update released by Bend Studio since “Days Gone Remastered” debuted in stores. Previously, they had released two updates each in the previous two months, with the most recent substantial update on June 24.
The consistent release of updates for the game “Days Gone Remastered” since its launch demonstrates Bend Studio’s dedication to the title. It is noteworthy that the most recent update arrives at a testing period for Sony’s first-party developer, who recently downsized their staff by 30% on June 10th. This move occurred as the studio was planning a new project, following the cancellation of their live-service game earlier in 2025.
Some enthusiasts of Bend Studio eagerly anticipate a sequel to their beloved game, Days Gone. Although expectations for a second installment featuring Deacon’s adventures might not have been particularly high initially, they have definitely increased significantly since the announcement of the remastered version. Whether or not this intellectual property will be revived in the future remains uncertain and may require fans to exercise patience before any decision is made public.
