DDV’s Baby Dragons Show an Underrated Film Deserves Representation

Since its release in 2022, Disney Dreamlight Valley has been filled with numerous engaging creatures for players to engage with. Interacting with animal companions has quickly become one of the most enjoyable elements of the game. Premium companions can typically be found in the game’s Star Paths, while free critters roam around the Valley, giving players the chance to form friendships on their own terms. Interestingly, the absence of Baby Dragons hints at a Walt Disney Animation Studios film that is yet to make an appearance in the popular simulation game.

In Disney Dreamlight Valley, Animal Companions function as a sort of accessory or pet that you can interact with. Various creatures scattered throughout the game can be won over by players using specific foods and feeding techniques. The game has broadened this aspect numerous times via DLC expansions, one such addition being the introduction of Baby Animals.

Baby Dragons Fly into Disney Dreamlight Valley

On November 20, 2024, the initial chapter of Storybook Vale’s latest extension became available. This update introduced essential elements to the game such as Merida, Flynn Rider, and Hades as playable characters. Furthermore, it brought three new species of creatures into Disney Dreamlight Valley, these being Baby Dragons, Baby Pegasi, and Owls.

In the realm of Everafter, you may encounter tiny Dragons. These little creatures have a preference for Pure Ice, Sparkling Pure Ice, Magma, and Glowing Magma as their meals. You might refer to these preferred foods as “Gems.” Feeding Baby Dragons involves patience and time. Just like other critters in this world, offering them their favorite foods rewards you with a Dream Shard, a Memory Shard, and a Motif Bag. On the other hand, feeding them liked foods results in a Dream Shard, a Memory Shard, and two pieces of Petrified Wood.

In the Storybook Vale DLC, the characters added are consistent with the additions made in the expansion pack. For instance, the Baby Pegasi inhabit Mythtopia, a region inspired by Greek mythology, specifically Hades. On the other hand, Owls and Baby Dragons were probably included to align with Maleficent, who is set to be introduced in Disney Dreamlight Valley during the second chapter of the Storybook Vale expansion pack.

In the final scenes of “Sleeping Beauty,” Maleficent undergoes an intriguing metamorphosis, becoming a terrifying dragon. This aspect of her character is hinted at by the term “Baby Dragons.” However, it’s not just Maleficent who embodies fearsome dragon qualities in Disney animation history. Given that Baby Dragons are garnering attention in “Disney Dreamlight Valley,”, there’s a possibility that a larger-scale dragon character could be introduced to the game as well.

The Last Dragon Could and Should Join Disney Dreamlight Valley

In 2021, the animated film “Raya and the Last Dragon,” produced by Disney, was released. The story revolves around Raya, a chief’s daughter, who embarks on a mission to bring together the five realms of Kumandra. This union can only be achieved once a magical gem is repaired, which contains the magic of Sisu, the last dragon, who vanished from the world after concentrating her powers within it. During her adventure, Raya eventually encounters the last dragon, who decides to aid her in her quest.

At present, there are no figures hailing from “Raya and the Last Dragon” in “Disney Dreamlight Valley”. Given that the majority of characters in this game originate from Walt Disney Animation Studios, particularly those from the Disney Renaissance era and beyond, it’s a bit unexpected that Raya and her companions haven’t been included yet.

In Disney Dreamlight Valley, there’s an item that follows the movie’s theme and resembles Raya’s sword. You can acquire this item via the premium pathway of the Royal Winter Star Quest.

Users have enjoyed nurturing and bonding with these petite Baby Dragons. It’s logical to provide players with a grown-up dragon for even more excitement. Introducing Sisu into Disney Dreamlight Valley would enrich the game with content from one of the missing Disney princess films, as well as enliven the character selection in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Although there are numerous creatures in the Valley, most aren’t as massive as Sisu, which would introduce a fresh element to the game’s animations and perspective.

As an ardent follower of Disney Dreamlight Valley, I’m eagerly anticipating future updates in 2025. While Sisu might not join the game this year, the enchanting presence of Baby Dragons has me imagining a grown-up version of this mythical creature gracing our valley. What a fantastic addition it would be to Disney Dreamlight Valley!
