How To Unlock The Spirit In Dead by Daylight

In Dead by Daylight, only a few Killers are available for free, and this hasn’t changed much over time. If you want to play as Rin Yamaoka, you’ll need to purchase her. Luckily, since she’s been in the game since 2018, she’s one of the more affordable DLC characters, costing either 2,250 Iridescent Shards or 125 Auric Cells in the In-Game Store. While her original DLC, Shattered Bloodline, is available on PC, it’s often cheaper to buy Rin individually, as she frequently goes on sale.

Okay, so if you only want The Spirit, just buying her directly is the way to go. You can get Iridescent Shards just by playing and leveling up, though it takes a while – but you can eventually unlock Rin that way. Auric Cells are different, though.
