Dead by Daylight “Junji Ito Collection” released, adds 8 new outfits

As a gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that I’ve got some exciting news! The creative minds behind Dead By Daylight have teamed up with legendary horror manga artist, Junji Ito, to bring a fresh wave of terror into the game. This collaboration promises a new collection that’s sure to chill us to the bone!

The publisher announces that ‘Dead by Daylight‘ will pay tribute to its catalog with 8 costumes modeled after some of Ito’s most iconic characters. This collection aims to provide long-time fans a novel way to engage with Ito’s work, while also introducing a new audience to his creations as they join the ranks of ‘Dead by Daylight’s horror legends.

Since 1987, Ito’s chilling stories and gory artwork have left readers shuddering, garnering him a formidable standing as one of the key figures in the horror manga genre.

Ito’s stories are frequently striking, psychologically deep, and have earned four Eisner Awards for outstanding creative accomplishment in American comic books. Similar to Dead by Daylight that delves into every facet of horror using a diverse array of original and well-known characters, Ito’s work also delves into various subgenres of horror such as body horror, cosmic horror, dark comedy, and others.

Ito’s characters span from eerily controlled puppets moving through life, to extraordinary individuals capable of ejecting nails from their mouths – a spectrum that stretches from disconcerting to inconceivable. These creations would seamlessly blend with the tormented inhabitants found within The Fog.

Enthusiasts of Ito’s literary creations will be thrilled to find that his beloved characters are now embodied as costumes within Dead by Daylight. Some seem to leap straight from the pages onto the screen, while others provide a source of inspiration for reimagining existing characters.

This time around, I got to try playing Dead by Daylight.   • Hikizuris’ Dark Past – Very Rare Outfit for The Twins, inspired by The Bizarre Hikizuri Siblings: The Séance
  • Soichi’s Pary Clothes – Very Rare Outfit for The Trickster, inspired by the character Soichi Tsujii from multiple stories.
  • Half Spirits’ Torments – Ultra Rare Outfit for The Dredge, inspired by Story of the Mysterious Tunnel.
  • Tsukiko’s Uniform – Very Rare Outfit for Yui Kimura, inspired by the story Tomie.
  • Terumi’s Fame – Very Rare Outfit for Yun-Jin Lee, inspired by the story The Hanging Balloons.
  • Puppet’s Troubled Ballet – Very Rare Outfit for Kate Denson, inspired by the story Marionette Mansion.
