Dead By Daylight Raising DLC Prices

Dead By Daylight Raising DLC Prices

Highlights

  • Prices for Dead by Daylight DLC on PC are rising to promote cross-progression with console platforms.
  • Players have until July 22 to purchase DLC at the regular price before the increase takes effect.
  • Behaviour Interactive faces backlash from players who believe DLC prices should have been universally lowered.

As a dedicated gamer with years of experience under my belt, I’ve grown accustomed to keeping an eye on the latest gaming news and updates. Recently, Behaviour Interactive announced that they will be raising the prices of Dead by Daylight DLC on PC to promote cross-progression.

Behaviour Interactive intends to increase the costs of “Dead by Daylight” add-ons for PC users to match console prices. This action is being taken to encourage cross-progression and eliminate pricing disparities between platforms.

After Update 8.1.0, Lara Croft joined “Dead by Daylight” as part of the “Tomb Raider” add-on. Behaviour Interactive has announced some exciting new features coming soon. Two Killers will face off against eight Survivors in a new 2v8 game mode. Additionally, cross-progression is being introduced, enabling players to synchronize their progress across all platforms except for the Nintendo Switch from July 22 onwards. Simultaneously, prices for “Dead by Daylight” DLC on PC will increase starting that day.

As a dedicated gamer who has been following and playing Dead by Daylight for quite some time now, I’m a bit disappointed to hear about the upcoming price increase for some of its DLCs on PC platforms. For a few days at least, we PC players can still grab these DLCs at their current prices before they go up by a dollar on July 22.

Dead by Daylight DLC Getting More Expensive

  • Behaviour will be raising the price from $6.99 to $7.99 for the following DLC: All Things Wicked, Sadako Rising, Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, Saw, Silent Hill, and Dungeons and Dragons.

Several “Dead by Daylight” gamers have expressed disappointment about the recent announcement, with some proposing that Behaviour Interactive could have reduced prices uniformly on all platforms instead. One comment read, “Why connect cross-progression with price hikes? I view it as a justification to boost DLC costs.” Another player added, “It was also feasible to decrease the prices universally.” It’s important to note that this isn’t the first time Behaviour Interactive has faced backlash from its player base. Previously, fans were worried about changes introduced in the PTB for Sadako Rising, which turned out to be rocky.

As a dedicated fan of horror games, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news with fellow Dead by Daylight enthusiasts! Behavior Interactive has given us a heads-up that their latest DLC will only be available at its regular price for a few more days. So, if you’ve had your eye on it, now’s the perfect time to add it to your collection. I’ve personally been waiting for this addition and can hardly contain my excitement!
