Dead by Daylight Resident Evil Crossover Adds Nemesis and Wesker

Summary

  • New Resident Evil collaboration in Dead by Daylight introduces Nemesis and Wesker as killers.
  • Gameplay mechanics include unique abilities like antidote and herb limitations for survivors.
  • Extensive crossover event features iconic outfits, new killers, and Raccoon City Police Department setting.

Behaviour Interactive has announced a fresh Resident Evil partnership for Dead by Daylight, which brings back the popular 2v8 gameplay mode. For the first time, players can control either the Nemesis or Wesker characters as killers and experience an exhilarating horror confrontation.

The developers have announced a meetup scheduled from February 19 to February 25, 2025, for various platforms including PC, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox Series X, and Switch. Among its features are a 2v8 mode, innovative gameplay mechanics, new killers, and iconic costumes, making it one of the most extensive Resident Evil crossover events to date.

Nemesis and Wesker Take Over Dead by Daylight

This pair from Resident Evil offers their unique skills, such as a combined antidote that cures both the Uroboros virus affecting Wesker and the Nemesis T-Virus contamination in others. For Wesker, known as “The Mastermind,” this means he can seize and hurl survivors, while it debilitates them. The reappearance of the Raccoon City Police Department further intensifies the turmoil.

Wesker and Nemesis’ inherent assassin abilities are quicker, agiler, and capable of a more potent viral assault. Players can make use of the latest Bodyguard item which deflects the attackers’ strikes and briefly stuns them. The map contains various healing plants, but killers often destroy them to hinder survivor recuperation.

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to see that Nemesis from Resident Evil 3’s original release in 1999 is included with the Origin Outfit! Similarly, the Wesker’s New Dawn skin is a fantastic addition to the Resident Evil 4 Remake. But wait, there’s more! This crossover event doesn’t disappoint, offering iconic skins like Ada Wong, Jill Valentine, and Rebecca Chambers as well.

Behavioral Interactive is broadening the terror tradition of Dead by Daylight with previous partnerships that include Child’s Play, Alien, and Castlevania. The forthcoming collaboration merges Dead by Daylight’s exhilarating multiplayer gameplay with Resident Evil’s iconic survival horror aspects.
