Yui Kimura – Tsukiko’s Uniform from Tomie’s Photos

As a die-hard fan, I’m thrilled to share that one of the first three Survivor skins in Dead by Daylight, inspired by the chilling works of Junji Ito, has received an intriguing makeover. The character, Yui Kimura, now dons an outfit reminiscent of Tsukiko Izumisawa, a significant figure from several Tomie stories. Tomie, a masterpiece by Junji Ito, is his most celebrated creation – a three-part manga series that spanned over a decade. The narrative revolves around the captivating young woman named Tomie, who uses her supernatural powers to ensnare men. Remarkably, Tomie is capable of generating clones of herself and ‘infecting’ others through her blood and organs, transforming them into clones as well.

For the first time, Tsukiko Izumisawa crosses paths with Tomie Kawakami at school, snapping a photo of her for a classmate. She suspects there’s something unusual about the enigmatic, affluent new student and strives to uncover the mystery surrounding her. Remarkably, Izumisawa endures two close calls with Tomie that seemed almost fatal.

Yun-Jin Lee – Terumi’s Fame from The Hanging Balloons

In the 6th chapter of volume 4 of Junji Ito’s “Horror World” compilation, titled “The Hanging Balloons,” we follow a woman who is tormented by an enormous balloon that bears an uncanny resemblance to her recently deceased celebrity friend. Over time, similar balloons begin to appear across the town, each one mirroring the face of its owner. Tragically, encountering a balloon leads to the unfortunate victim’s death by hanging from a metal noose.

In a new twist for the character Yun-Jin Lee in “Dead by Daylight,” her survivor outfit will now be modeled after Terumi Fujino, a deceased celebrity, based on the theme of “The Hanging Balloons.

Initially, Junji Ito was linked to collaborate with Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro on a project called “Silent Hills“, which has unfortunately been scrapped.

1. The Marionette Mansion, also known as the House of the Puppeteers or the House of Dolls, is found within the 7th chapter of the 10th volume of Junji Ito’s Horror World series. In this chilling tale, a family of puppet masters find themselves being manipulated by their own life-sized ballet dancer puppets, resulting in a series of gruesome deaths.
2. Recently, Kate Denson from Dead by Daylight received a costume inspired by the Marionette Mansion. This collaboration transforms her into one of the story’s towering ballerina marionettes.

In addition to introducing a new set of content from the collaboration between “Dead by Daylight” and Junji Ito, five killer costumes have been integrated into the game. One of these costumes is modeled after the character Tomie.
