As a seasoned Stalker, I’ve traversed the irradiated wastelands of the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone more times than I can count. The heart-pounding tension, the relentless danger lurking behind every corner, and the haunting beauty of this post-apocalyptic world have kept me coming back for more. And let me tell you, Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl has upped the ante in every way possible.

In the game titled STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl, the narrative is filled with unexpected plots and turns. As players advance through the storyline, they will eventually reach a mission called Dead Frequency. This task involves recovering a lost scanner, leading them to Camp Icarus – a site governed by one of the multiple factions in STALKER 2, The Ward.

As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but marvel at the intricate design of STALKER 2. The game offers numerous main quests, some of which can be quite the time-consuming adventures, keeping players engrossed for hours on end until they’re finally completed. This prolonged immersion is largely due to the necessity of traversing diverse locations across the expansive map. Remarkably, certain missions will even interconnect, requiring players to accomplish one mission before moving forward with another.

How to Complete Dead Frequency in STALKER 2

Initially, players should make their way towards Camp Icarus, situated in the Zaton region – it’s the same area where they can pick up the Railway Maintenance Facility Stash. Fortunately, this location will appear on their map. Upon arrival, they will be halted at the entrance. To proceed securely, players must display the Ward Badge, which was obtained from the Back to the Slag Heap mission. Once they have gained entry, they will then need to locate Faust’s Agent.

Multiple paths lead to Camp Icarus, thankfully the quest guide will shift towards the significant structure when players have gained entry. Make your way towards that guidepost. This mission is linked, as we discussed before, so from now on, you’ll be following the “Like a Moth to the Flame” main quest. Attempting to switch back to Dead Frequency will only show Like a Moth to the Flame as your current mission.

Players should finish all primary missions before Dr. Kryvenko provides them with information regarding the Echo Station. Once this happens, the long-awaited update for Dead Frequency will allow players to search for Lt. Sherev within the Echo Station. Although there’s a large search area, you can locate Lt. Shterev by simply sticking close to one of the walls during your exploration.

Dead Frequency without Warden’s Badge in STALKER 2

Achieving this mission without the Ward Badge could stretch out the process significantly. But by confining yourself to Dead Frequency, you’ll find all quest indicators in one place, guiding you directly where you should go. The journey starts with a marker that directs you to encounter Star. This will guide you to a designated house for retrieving a sensor from Sergeant Orlowski’s body.

Make sure you carry Medkits with you and provide one to an injured NPC from Bravo team if they request it. Assisting them in this way will earn you valuable information from them, specifically a password that can significantly facilitate interactions with Lt. Kozymkov.

In STALALKER 2, players have the option to seek out Alpha and Bravo teams. If they prefer, they can engage in extended conversations or skip straight to combat to speed things up. Regardless of whether a player possesses the Ward Badge, upon completion of either path, they will encounter Faust’s Agent at the Echo Station. The ability to forge your own journey and decide the outcome of missions is one of the key factors contributing to STALALKER 2’s high acclaim.

Where to Find Faust’s Agent in STALKER 2

Approach via the eastern entrance through a gate, and you’ll notice numerous closed wooden doors lined up on your right-hand side. Continue walking until you locate an entryway to a vast industrial space. Stay close to the right wall as you advance, and you’ll eventually come across a door that leads back outside. Keep adhering to the right wall, and you’ll start to hear some conversation emanating from behind a blue door. Entering this door will grant you an opportunity to converse with Lt. Sherev; however, be sure to arm yourself with a powerful weapon before proceeding. A shotgun, one of the many effective weapons in STALKER 2, can take care of the situation in just one blow.

Return through the blue door you previously entered, and you’ll spot a switch to your right. Activate this switch to turn on the device. This action will trigger nearby enemies, but they won’t be as close as Sherev. In such situations, opt for one of the many Assault Rifles available in STALKER 2.

In the same room where you encountered Lieutenant Sherev, seek shelter behind a sturdy doorframe. After the device is done activating, utilize the laptop in the room where you eliminated Lt. Sherev to reach Faust. This action will conclude the mission, but be prepared for numerous adversaries. Players have the option to engage these enemies from your current location or escape by running past the right wall’s opening.
