On the third day, completing all the story missions and returning to the helipad unlocks the Extra Time Gameplay. To uncover the game’s true climax and reveal the truth behind the epidemic, you must conquer this mode. In your quest, you will need to locate five queens for Isabela. This task becomes more challenging in Extra Time Mode. Use this guide to discover where to find queens within the shopping mall.
Queen Infected Zombies
As I wrap up Day One, I stumble upon an intriguing cutscene that sets the stage for the queens. A menacing wasp almost takes me down in the warehouse, but I crush it before it can. In a bizarre turn of events, all the nearby zombies collapse and their heads implode when I destroy the wasp. If you’ve missed this scene, expect queen-infected zombies to swarm the mall from now on. These zombies will remain static with their arms raised high. Snapping a photo of them is considered an “outtake.” Be on the lookout for red-glowing wasps nestled at the base of their necks and a constant buzzing sound. Eliminate the zombie, and the queen will hover in place. Press Circle/B to capture the queen in a jar that instantly becomes part of my inventory. I can later shatter this jar to eliminate all nearby zombies.
Find Five Queens For Isabella
Following your collection of all essential items for Isabela’s potion-making, she will task Frank with locating five queens. Upon finding one, kindly bring it back to her secret spot, which is hidden within the North Plaza, at Carlito’s hideout.
At this stage in Overtime Mode, it’s going to be tough due to the increased difficulty. The Special Forces troops stationed at the mall have largely eradicated the zombie horde, leaving areas such as the Leisure Park completely devoid of them. Some stores and plazas will still be occupied by these soldiers, posing a threat to Frank as they can swiftly take him out.
North Plaza Queen Spawns
A prudent strategy would be to remain near the North Plaza hideout, as it seems sparsely populated by Special Forces soldiers. Take care to engage them in individual encounters, as they will not reappear once you avoid leaving the area. Be aware that zombies will continue to resurface consistently.
Make your way to the heart of the North Plaza, specifically close to the CD Crazy Shop. Locate a cluster of zombies around the skylight area. A queen-infected zombie is likely to appear here. Investigate the under-construction building opposite the CD store for another group, possibly including a queen as well.
You can use the motorcycle near the grocery store to drive around the area and cause more zombies to respawn. Keep an eye out for the flashlights of the Special Forces soldiers to avoid them. Patrol the area until you get five queens.
