However, it seems that a miniature version of Sam was originally planned for inclusion in the statue design but ultimately wasn’t used due to being too small to effectively incorporate into the overall statue. Kojima also mentioned that game designer Entei Ryu created the Collector’s Edition item and worked under the close supervision of Yoji Shinkawa, a longtime collaborator of Kojima from the Metal Gear series. Kojima referred to these early versions of the Magellan Man statue as a reflection of the spirit and soul of Kojima Productions.
