Death Stranding 2 Will Only Get a Release Date in 2025

Fans had speculated that Hideo Kojima, known for his involvement with The Game Awards, might announce the release date of Death Stranding 2 at the 2024 edition of Geoff Keighley’s show in December. However, Kojima himself has recently clarified that the exciting announcement will not take place until 2025.

Initially, it was revealed that the game “Death Stranding” would be available in May 2019, around half a year before it became playable on PlayStation 4. Based on Hideo Kojima’s recent update, there seems to be a possibility that the sequel might adhere to a similar timeline. Beyond unveiling the tentative release date, Hideo Kojima’s TGS 2024 presentation also disclosed that Death Stranding 2 will incorporate a photo mode, potentially influencing the game’s narrative. Attendees were treated to a music video for Death Stranding 2, featuring the song Horizon Dreamer from the original soundtrack, performed by Japanese artist Daichi Miura. Additionally, some new gameplay footage was exhibited during the event.
