In Death Stranding 2, a player experienced an amusing mishap involving ziplines, which unfortunately caused Sam to fall to the ground, setting back their game progress. This incident is a humorous reminder for other Death Stranding 2 players to be cautious when using ziplines.
The anticipated sequel to “Death Stranding 2” has been well-received by fans, with its overall rating surpassing that of “Clair Obscur: Expedition 33” on the PlayStation Store. As players delve into post-apocalyptic Australia, they continue to uncover hidden treasures and Easter eggs. It seems that navigating this hostile environment also requires caution from other players.
Reddit user vacodeus posted a video of their gameplay in Death Stranding 2, where they glided along a zip line at the Eastern Environmental Observatory. Initially, everything appeared standard, with Sam hanging from the zip line while swiftly moving towards the end. But as they neared the destination, the zip line began to curve downward, causing Sam to lose balance and fall off, plummeting towards the ground below.
Death Stranding 2 Ziplines Can Be a Hazard
In Death Stranding 2, the ziplines serve as a swift means of transportation. Players can construct their own or utilize existing ones created by others, all thanks to the game’s Social Strand, an asynchronous multiplayer feature. However, these helpful tools may also pose some risks. If you remove a zipline that you yourself had built, it will vanish from other players’ games as well. It appears that in vacodeus’s situation, the player who initially constructed the zipline decided to dismantle it while Sam was still riding it, causing the game to notify that the line has been taken apart, resulting in Sam falling.

As a devoted Death Stranding 2 player, I’ve noticed an intriguing reaction among us. Some of us were left chuckling when we found out that tearing down a structure we constructed had such an impact on fellow players. A few even questioned if they accidentally caused harm to other players in the process. To prevent such incidents, some of us have started a practice: we refrain from dismantling ziplines or other structures if they receive enough positive feedback, as this usually indicates that they are heavily utilized by others. And believe it or not, there were a few moments when I wondered if the depicted zipline was one I had recently dismantled in the same location after removing some I’d built nearby.
I’m glad to see the OP handling the situation with a touch of humor. It’s a valuable lesson to be cautious when using structures not personally constructed by us in games like Death Stranding 2, and remember to show appreciation for helpful builds by liking them.
