The latest update for World of Warcraft, Patch 11.2.7 titled “The Warning,” launches on December 2nd. The popular Brawler’s Guild will return the following week, on December 9th. This update, the last major content release for The War Within, also includes early access to player housing, improvements for new and returning players, and a preview of the Midnight expansion.
Blizzard recently announced Patch 11.2.7 for World of Warcraft, which will be the final update before the Midnight expansion launches. They’ve already confirmed that players will get early access to the new Player Housing feature on December 2nd, but the overall release date for the patch remained unknown until now.
World of Warcraft: The War Within Patch 11.2.7 Arrives December 2
Players now know exactly when Patch 11.2.7 will be released, and what it includes! The update arrives on December 2nd, bringing with it several new features right away. These include early access to Housing, weekly quests for Housing decorations, the beginning of the Midnight story with the ‘Visions of a Shadowed Sun’ prologue, improvements for new and returning players, the Pandaren Heritage Armor quest, and a new story about the Elves of Quel’Thalas in World of Warcraft. All of these will be permanent additions to the game.

Patch 11.2.7 includes a few temporary events alongside permanent changes. The Turbulent Timeways event is back, and this time it introduces Timewalking for the World of Warcraft: Shadowlands expansion, which will then become a regular part of the Timewalking schedule. The Winds of Mysterious Fortune event also returns, offering players a significant boost to experience and reputation gains while it’s active.
On December 9th, the Brawler’s Guild is coming back to World of Warcraft with a lot of improvements! Players can look forward to new achievements, challenges, rewards, and boss fights at both Brawl’gar Arena and Bizmo’s Brawlpub. Best of all, any character can participate without needing an invitation. Whether the Brawler’s Guild will be a permanent fixture or temporarily close again like in past expansions remains to be seen.
Following the recent Patch 11.2.7, the next big step for World of Warcraft is the Midnight pre-patch event. While there’s no confirmed release date for update 12.0 yet, signs point to January 20th – the date Legion Remix concludes – as a possibility. Shortly after, World of Warcraft: Midnight is expected to launch, currently estimated to be around March 10th.
