Ghost Ship Games, the developer behind Deep Rock Galactic, is planning to release authentic Deep Rock Galactic beer mugs with fan support. Currently, other official Deep Rock Galactic merchandise such as keychains, stickers, and t-shirts are available for purchase.

Introduced in 2020, “Deep Rock Galactic” is a collaborative mining game set on the mineral-laden yet hazardous alien planet of Hoxxes IV. During downtime between missions, players can visit the Abyss Bar for an array of drinks that offer potent bonuses. Fans of “Deep Rock Galactic” may soon be sipping from an Abyss Bar tankard in reality, thanks to a fundraising effort aimed at making the product available to the public.

In collaboration with Scorched Steel Industry, Ghost Ship Games is running a Kickstarter campaign to introduce an official line of Deep Rock Galactic beer mugs. As shown in a recent project teaser, these durable, food-safe plastic mugs can hold 500mL (16.9 fl oz) and are dishwasher safe. The initial design available will feature the Pots O’ Gold beer mug that enhances gold gain in Deep Rock Galactic. More designs, such as those for Red Rock Blaster, Scull Crusher, and Slayer’s Stout, will be released as Kickstarter goals are reached according to Scorched Steel Industry’s page.

The prices for the upcoming Abyss Bar mugs remain undisclosed at this time. The Scorched Steel Industry, who mentioned that their Kickstarter campaign will offer exclusive extras, encourages fans to keep an eye on the project to be informed of its release. Notably, the French manufacturer’s affiliated company, Scorched Steel Studio, has previously crafted custom Deep Rock Galactic props and statues. Among these creations are pieces modeled after Deep Rock Galactic’s alien creatures, like the Loot Bug, as well as its renowned space dwarves.

Previously unveiled by Ghost Ship Games, the game “Deep Rock Galactic” has surpassed eight million in sales since its early access launch in 2018. Recently, Ghost Ship Games announced they will publish a cooperative roguelite titled “Guntouchables“, set in a post-apocalyptic world. The developers of this upcoming game, Game Swing, are also known for creating “OddBallers”, “Stikbold! A Dodgeball Adventure”, and “Spot Racers”.

The ongoing season for Deep Rock Galactic, titled Drilling Deeper, recently brought a wave of new elements such as additional enemies and Overclocks when it debuted in June. The most recent update, version S05.06, was released on October 21 for the Unity-based shooter, offering up bug fixes and adjustments to gameplay.
