I find that Delta Force‘s Warfare mode is quite tough. But the Operations mode cranks up the difficulty even more. You’ll often find yourself on edge, eager to act, yet occasionally frozen in place, awaiting a possible ambush from an adversary. It can be frustrating to learn later that they were merely computer-controlled opponents.

The way this extraction method works is captivating, and once you grasp its mechanics, you won’t want to stop playing. There’s always something fresh to discover, whether it’s new weapons, custom loadouts, or cool operator techniques. To top it off, the distinct maps provide a dynamic battlefield where risks are high but rewards can be substantial.

Let’s see how these maps hold up in the game and find which ones suit your playstyle.

5. Operation Serpentine

Normal/Hard/Extreme

This map isn’t strictly a Player vs Player (PvP) one, instead it’s called an “operations” map where you engage with Non-Player Characters (NPCs). You can participate in this mode solo or as part of a team. What makes this mode particularly enjoyable for me is that any supplies you bring into the game are returned to you upon completion of the match.

In other words, since utilizing a gear ticket means that all items are depleted, I went ahead and constructed a fully upgraded Scar-H costing over half a million dollars, complete with additional accessories, and stored gold ammunition in my supply.

I recommend giving Operation Serpentine a shot as it provides a good introduction to the game and its shooting mechanics. There’s no risk involved, so even if you don’t succeed on your initial attempt, you can always try again.

On the map, there are distinct challenges to overcome. Once you finish a stage, you have the opportunity to restock at supply points strategically positioned across the map. The gameplay bears a resemblance to a campaign, as you engage in battles against various opponents before ultimately facing the main antagonist.

Go to the firing range to try new weapons and preview them with attachments without cost.

4. Brakkesh

Normal

On the game Delta Force, this particular map is exceptionally difficult to navigate. Whenever I engage in it, I find myself controlling strategic areas or pressuring them after only a short while into play. The reason being, there are numerous buildings and rooms spread across this specific map.

Contrary to regular maps that offer ample space for concealment or relaxation, Brakkesh stands out as a place where privacy and rest are scarce. Instead, individuals risk being scanned by Hackclaws, or an entire team can be reconnoitered with Lunas.

This map seems to cause more unease than others for me, as it’s always uncertain who might be positioned at a vantage point with a sniper rifle, ready to take down my character with a single precise shot from the window.

On the map, the loot appears to be quite impressive, but you can bet your boots that you’ll cross paths with “resourceful individuals,” or as some might say, “juicers.” I haven’t come across many people who aren’t equipped with high-end Gold gear and ammunition in Brakkesh and Space City.

Conversely, the retrieval process is less complicated in this case compared to Space City, as safety deposits are scattered throughout the map rather than concentrated in a single location. This allows for an early extraction or even preemptive action against those attempting to do so before you.

3. Space City

Normal

As a seasoned gamer, I can tell you this spot is where gaming legends duel it out. I’ve seen my fair share of DF Pinnacle and Black Hawk pros dominate Zero Dam in normal mode. But if you drop by Space City, you’ll find them cleaning the lobby with ease.

In this game, Space City is the only map where I have the least resource collection rate. When I go solo, it’s usually without a backpack due to the toughness of the extraction spots. The valuables are primarily gathered in the central region, and unless you’re familiar with the building layout, you might become disoriented or miss the extraction point.

Although it may seem challenging, there’s a bright side: If you excel in gunfights and teamwork with your group, you can navigate out of this tough spot. Not everyone thrives in Space City, but that’s what makes the game exciting. The stakes are high, but the rewards are worth it.

In Layali Grove, Brakkesh, and Space City regions, areas not visible on the mini-map require recalling past knowledge for navigation.

2. Zero Dam

Easy/Normal

This map is fantastic for those seeking a confidence boost. After all, what’s more exhilarating than diving into the Zero Dam armed with either Gold or Red gear and outplaying newcomers? Yet, despite the presence of skilled opponents, it remains an excellent choice for beginners.

After our recent expansion beneath the ground, there is now a larger space available for us to explore. If you find yourself hesitant about venturing into high-risk zones where the valuable safes reside, consider slipping into the subterranean region instead. There, you can gather whatever valuables you can find and make your escape.

In other words, speed is crucial as the one who finishes last will diligently search for the Gold and Red items everywhere, and if you cross paths with them, there’s a chance you could be in danger.

1. Layali Grove

Easy/Normal

Unlike other maps, Layali Grove stands out for its expansive layout, offering numerous hiding spots, opportunities to gather items without interaction, and a variety of paths leading to extraction zones. Indeed, this map is renowned as the preferred choice for snipers due to its size, but the challenging terrain ensures that finding opponents remains a challenge, thus maintaining a balance.

If you blend into the bushes and keep a low profile, it’s possible that you won’t be spotted. In case of being hit, your teammates may be able to resuscitate you in a hidden spot like a rock formation or behind a cliff.

On this map, the spawn points are quite distant, giving you the opportunity to choose an early exit after scavenging a single location. Other teams might take some time to reach you here, unlike in other maps where encounters with other teams happen quickly. Layali Grove manages to maintain a balance regarding these early team interactions.

You can either engage in PvP battles at specific safe zones, or roam around the edges to collect loot and make an escape.

Option C: In safe box locations, you’ll find chances for PvP fights, while venturing along the outskirts lets you gather resources before making your exit.

Option D: Safe boxes’ positions offer opportunities for Player vs Player conflicts, or you can loot around the border and then leave (extract).
