Okay, so this is pretty wild. I just saw that Rust’s COO, Alistair McFarlane, is calling out the Delta Force team for basically ripping off assets from our game! Apparently, in a new trailer for Delta Force – the one made by TiMi Studio Group – they showed off this explosive thing that’s clearly from Rust. It’s right there in the trailer, super obvious, and we’re not happy about it.
McFarlane explained that the design was directly inspired by the game Rust, providing evidence to support his statement. He later mentioned that the Delta Force team contacted him to offer an apology.
Blatant Theft
Facepunch Studios’ Alistair McFarlane, the company’s COO, recently spotted something familiar in a new trailer for Delta Force. He noticed a block of C4 explosives and some electronic parts that looked exactly like assets he’d created for their game, Rust – they’d been taken and used without permission.
McFarlane’s subsequent post revealed the asset’s origin, confirming it was created entirely by his own team. He also credited the artist responsible for designing it.

A few hours after sharing the image and its sources, McFarlane announced that the Delta Force development team had contacted him to apologize, and he confirmed the issue was settled.
It’s not, but it’s close.
I was so hyped when Delta Force dropped their new trailer! It was timed perfectly with the launch of the game’s latest season – it actually went live right as I was watching it. Now, I know some people get Delta Force and Rust mixed up, but honestly, that doesn’t matter right now – this season looks amazing!
