In the first chapter of Deltarune, once you’ve figured out every card and password puzzle within the Forest, you’ll encounter a different kind of challenge: the Maze puzzle. Unlike the other puzzles, this one isn’t about cards or passwords; instead, it requires interacting with the game environment. Solving it can be quite challenging because the solution may not be apparent at first glance. This guide will lead you through each step necessary to solve the Forest Maze Puzzle in Deltarune.

How To Solve Chapter 1 Forest Maze Puzzle in Deltarune

Once you’ve completed both the Bake Sale and Card Puzzles in Deltarune, you will encounter a Maze towards its end within the Forest. Navigating this maze requires careful observation of Lancer and Susie. The maze is tricky as taking the incorrect path or re-tracing your steps will lead you back to the beginning. To progress effectively, opt for the paths that neither Lancer nor Susie are on, since they seem to be wandering without a clear destination.

As you make your way through the labyrinth, here is a guide on how to navigate smoothly:

1. First, enter Room A.
2. Next, proceed to Room B.
3. Then, head for Room C.
4. After that, move towards Room D.
5. From there, go to Room E.
6. Lastly, exit through Room F.

This sequence should help you effortlessly navigate the maze.

  • In the very first room, only Lancer will be present. He’ll head off to the right, so you should take the path on the left.
  • The next room features rows of Paper Dancers gliding from right to left. You’ll need to carefully run through the gaps to avoid them. A good trick is to hold the up and left arrows together to move diagonally and avoid them more smoothly. Once you’re through, take the path on the right.
  • Next, you’ll run into a Rabbick enemy. If you want to skip the fight, just dash past it and go along the left path.
  • In the following room, you’ll see spinning strings of diamonds again. Take the right path to reach a room with Susie. After a short chat with Susie, both she and Lancer will join you. This time, neither of them knows the way, but the rule still stands: do not take the paths they do.

  • In the next room, you’ll find two rows of Paper Dancers. After you clear the first row, you’ll see Susie and Lancer. The correct route here is up the middle path.
  • You’ll then enter a long room with a single Bloxer patrolling. Remember, you only get into a fight if Kris gets spotted. Stick to the path and take the exit on the right. You’ll then find yourself in a room with two Starwalker Birds on either side. Just run straight past them and take the exit to the left.
  • Lastly, you’ll reach a room with two diamond strings that are spinning in opposite directions. Time your movements carefully and dash through when they swing upward. As soon as you step in, you can make a run for it. Take the middle path.
