What Is The Piano Puzzle?

In the game Deltarune, the mysterious Golden Piano Hidden Puzzle is essential for unlocking the secret boss of Chapter 4. Inside the old man’s study, you’ll come across a dimly lit door that needs to be entered. Head towards the right, and you’ll discover a bookshelf that can be scaled. Climb as high as you can on this bookshelf, and you’ll find a golden piano resting at its peak. To solve the puzzle, the golden piano must be played in a particular order. You can decipher the sequence from the three unique musical notes scattered throughout Chapter 4.

How To Solve The Piano Puzzle

To crack the Golden Piano enigma, you’ll have to gather three unique musical tones and combine them harmoniously. By playing the right melody on the Golden Piano, you can unlock the puzzle’s secret.

Before embarking on the puzzle, ensure you possess the climbing skill. Acquire this ability by moving through the story sequentially. Once you’ve defeated Jackenstein in combat, he will reward you with Climb Claws that enable wall-climbing. Now, you are fully prepared to locate and assemble the music notes.

Music Note 1 Location

Venture into the aged man’s study situated in the ominous realm known as the Dark World. From there, proceed through the exit located at the bottom left corner. As you progress, you’ll discover a room equipped with a stool close to the entrance. Continue moving to your left, and you’ll come across another room inhabited by shadowy beings spinning around.

At the termination of this room, you’ll notice a wall that can be scaled. Ascend it to access an area adorned with waterfalls. Agilely dodge these cascades and continue climbing higher. In this region, you’ll find a common vessel filled with water where you’ll engage in battle against a mini-boss titled the Water Cooler.

Head towards the study through the door on the upper left side of the house. Once inside, take the door on your left which leads into a dimly lit room filled with bookshelves. Continue moving to the left until you reach a room featuring a large waterfall. Go behind this waterfall and discover a hidden passageway concealed behind it. The tunnel will be dark, but keep going until you find a glowing circle that will open the Wall of Bells.

Approach the Wall of Bells and begin your ascent, leading you to another labyrinth. Continue moving right until you locate a yellow toggle. After that, maintain your course to the right until you encounter a blue toggle. Step on the blue toggle to collect the third and concluding set of musical notes.

Go To The Golden Piano

Once you’ve gathered all three musical notes, it’s now time for you to discover the Golden Piano and put the music together. Head back to the old man’s study, then move towards the door on the top left side. You’ll encounter a dark door on the left once more, but this time, when you enter, take a right turn. You’ll spot a bookshelf that can be climbed on the room’s right side, which will help you reach the Golden Piano.

Play The Music Notes

As soon as you get to the Golden Piano, you’ll see a series of directions in the form of arrows that show you how to play the notes. Just follow these arrows and play the corresponding notes. Once you solve the puzzle, the fireplace located at the back of the old man’s desk will collapse, unveiling a hidden path.

If you triumph in the battle, you’ll be rewarded with both the Justice Axe and Shadow Crystal from the secret boss, Hammer of Justice. Even if you don’t win, the old man offers the items anyway.
