In 2025, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 1 — Akaza’s Return became one of the most popular anime films ever made. As fans expected from this series, the movie was a huge success worldwide. Ever since the first Demon Slayer movie came out, people have been eagerly awaiting the continuation of the story, knowing that the Infinity Castle arc would be told across three films. Now, all attention is focused on Infinity Castle Part 2, which many believe will be even more impressive.
Demon Slayer fans were hoping for news about the next movie at Jump Festa 2026, but were left disappointed. Now, all eyes are on Anime Japan 2026, which begins on March 28th and will include a Demon Slayer stage event. Fans are eagerly anticipating what announcements might be made.

- Anime Japan will finally begin on March 28, 2026
Anime fans enjoy events throughout the year. Recently, in early December, Jump Festa 2026 was a major highlight, showcasing upcoming series from Weekly Shonen Jump.
The recent Demon Slayer event didn’t quite live up to fans’ expectations. Luckily, a much larger event, Anime Japan 2026, is on the horizon, and it promises some exciting announcements. This event will feature major panels and reveals for several popular Shonen anime series.
Good news for anime fans! Anime Japan 2026 will kick off on March 28, 2026. Popular series like One Piece, My Hero Academia, and Jujutsu Kaisen will each have their own dedicated presentations. Fans of Demon Slayer will be thrilled to hear that the series will also be featured, with a 30-minute event focusing on the upcoming Infinity Castle Part 2. The Demon Slayer event will take place on the Red Stage in Japan on March 28th, starting at 12:15 PM and ending at 12:50 PM.
In Pacific Time for the US, this event would unfold on the 27th March from 8:15 PM till 8:50 PM.
Japanese fans can attend the event live, but they need to purchase tickets ahead of time. The Red Stage is only accessible with a ticket and isn’t open to the public without one.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 2 Likely To Receive Big Updates During Anime Japan
- Jump Festa 2026 was disappointing, but Anime Japan could be filled with surprises
As a huge Jump Festa fan, I was really excited for the 2026 event, but honestly, it was a letdown, especially for series like Demon Slayer. We were all hoping for something – even a tiny hint – about the next Demon Slayer movie, ‘Infinity Castle Part 2’, but unfortunately, we didn’t get a single update. It was pretty disappointing for those of us eager for news!
The Demon Slayer panel at Jump Festa mainly highlighted the voice actors. It seems they weren’t ready to share major news yet, and saved the announcements for a later date. We can likely expect the big reveals for Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 2 at the next major anime event, Anime Japan 2026.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 2 Release Date and Teaser Could Be Revealed

Demon Slayer fans shouldn’t expect much news right now. The recent Jump Festa didn’t offer anything exciting, and it’s likely more updates are still a ways off.
There’s a good chance we’ll see some big announcements at Anime Japan 2026. Fans are especially hoping for news about Infinity Castle Part 2, ideally a release date. At the very least, they’d love to know when the movie might come out – many are predicting 2027, two years after the first film.
During the event, they might share a short preview or a key image. If the second part of Infinity Castle is planned for release next year, Anime Japan would be an ideal place to make the announcement.
Infinity Castle Part 2 Will Focus On Doma, Kokushibo, And Nakime

People are really looking forward to the next Demon Slayer movie, Infinity Castle Part 2, which is currently planned to come out in 2027. It will continue the story fans already love.
The story has been incredibly thrilling so far. The Demon Slayers, including Tanjiro and the Hashira, have found themselves inside the Infinity Castle. The first movie featured several huge battles, like the fierce fight between Shinobu Kocho and Doma, which Doma ultimately won. Besides Doma, Kaigaku, the new Upper Rank 6, was defeated by Zenitsu, one of the main characters, in a quick but visually impressive fight. Fans also witnessed the fall of Akaza, who was a standout in the first movie.
The next part of Infinity Castle will focus on characters like Doma. Kanao is already in the room and might be the next to fight Upper Rank 2.
I’ll strike down any demon without hesitation to appease the souls they’ve taken and prevent further harm. However, I won’t scorn demons who feel remorse for their past deeds. They were once people, just like me, and deserve some compassion.
The battles so far have been thrilling, but even larger conflicts are on the horizon in the next movie. Doma remains a dangerous enemy who must be defeated, and fans are eager to see how they’ll face Kokushibo, Muzan’s most powerful subordinate. Plus, the new Upper Rank 4, Nakime, presents a significant challenge – defeating her will be key to destroying the Infinity Castle.
The first Infinity Castle film was just a taste of what’s to come, and the next installment promises to be much bigger and better. Fans are eagerly anticipating the action, and they’re hoping Anime Japan will finally offer a sneak peek, as it’s been a long wait for any new information.
You can now see Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle in movie theaters! If you can’t wait for the theatrical release, the story is also available in manga form on Manga Plus. The anime currently has four seasons, all of which you can stream on Crunchyroll. Future parts of the story will be released as movies, so fans will need to see them in theaters when they become available in their country.
