However, she quickly regained herself, demonstrating an incredible inner strength and willpower – a strength that isn’t physical, but comes from her unwavering humanity.

I noticed something interesting about Tanjiro and Nezuko – it felt like they had a kind of built-in protection. Tanjiro narrowly avoided death, and that moment was key to Giyu Tomioka deciding not to kill Nezuko, even though she was a demon. Usually, the story tells us demons immediately become consumed by their new instincts, but Nezuko was different. She showed incredible strength of will and maintained her good nature, which made it clear she deserved Tanjiro’s unwavering protection throughout every fight.
