
Demon Slayer is a hugely popular anime series right now. In 2025, the first part of the movie, Infinity Castle, became the highest-grossing anime film ever. Fans haven’t received much news about what’s next for the series since then, but it’s now been confirmed that the Demon Slayer anime will return to television in Japan. All seasons and episodes will be re-aired starting April 5, 2026, which has fans very excited.

Demon Slayer has become a hugely popular anime, attracting fans worldwide. Many consider it to be one of the best anime series of recent years. The first season premiered in 2019 and quickly gained recognition for its high quality. Since then, the series has continued with three more seasons – Season 2 in 2021 and Season 3 in 2023.
The newest season of the Demon Slayer anime premiered in 2024 and was the shortest one so far, with only 8 episodes. It mainly served to introduce the events that would unfold in a planned trilogy of movies. The first of these movies, Infinity Castle Part 1, was released in July 2025 and became a huge success in theaters, both in Japan and internationally.
Demon Slayer TV Anime is Officially Returning To Japan on April 5th 2026
The Entire Anime Will Have a Rerun On Select Japanese TV Channels
Image by Ufotable Demon Slayer fans eagerly await new content from the series. While the TV anime has finished for now, the studio is releasing the rest of the story as a series of three movies. Though these movies might eventually be adapted into more TV seasons, there are no confirmed plans for that yet. In the meantime, fans can re-enjoy the anime with an upcoming rerun on Japanese TV channels, including Fuji TV, starting April 5th, 2026.
Demon Slayer is returning to TV, giving fans a chance to watch all episodes from Seasons 1 through 4. With a total of 63 episodes, it will take over a year – until at least July 2027 – to air everything, assuming there are no breaks in the schedule. Fans can enjoy the complete series as it airs weekly on TV.
