Over the last several weeks, there’s been a flurry of activity among big esports teams as they unveil their new Valorant rosters in anticipation for the 2025 VCT season. One such team, Vitality, has made headlines with one of its most significant acquisitions: Derke.
Derke Joins Team Vitality
Without a doubt, it’s widely known that Derke is an exceptionally accomplished player in the competitive Valorant scene. In the year 2023, he played a pivotal role in helping Evil Geniuses clinch the VCT 2023: Master Tokyo championship. Moreover, he teamed up with Team Vitality in July of 2024 for the EMEA Stage 2, where they finished at the top of the leaderboard.
However, Derke competed with Sentinels in the VCT Champions this year.
For the year 2025, the player is set to join Team Vitality, contributing significantly to make it one of their most successful seasons.
Derke expressed great enthusiasm on Twitter upon joining Team Vitality, a team with exceptional and promising players. He’s looking forward to an exhilarating year ahead, as it marks his first major changes and he sees it as a stimulating challenge. The team members have been incredibly welcoming, and their determination to win has him even more eager for the upcoming season.
The Finnish/Russian player will be a massive asset for the esports team going into 2025.

Team Vitality’s Record
Over the last several years, Team Vitality’s Valorant division hasn’t been particularly successful. So far, they haven’t managed to win top honors at a premier-level Valorant tournament, with their last first-place finish being at the 2022 VRL France: Revolution Stage 2.
Nevertheless, it’s worth noting that the team is still attracting top-tier talent in Valorant.
