Destiny 2: Every Dungeon Final Boss, Ranked

Destiny 2: Every Dungeon Final Boss, Ranked

As a seasoned Guardian of the Last City and a veteran of countless battles against the darkness that threatens our existence, I must say that the upcoming challenges in Destiny 2 are more intriguing than ever. The three featured dungeons – Duality, Vesper’s Host, and Ghosts of the Deep – promise to test even the most skilled among us.

In Destiny 2, dungeons are among the most thrilling endgame content, each one providing distinct weapons, armor, and unforgettable adventures. For those Guardians who dare to conquer every dungeon in Destiny 2, they’ll encounter some of the toughest adversaries in the Solar System, defeating them will require skill and determination.

In certain dungeons of Destiny 2, final bosses vary significantly in difficulty. Some may seem relatively easy with just one phase, while others appear almost as challenging as the enigmatic entity known as the Witness, ensuring that fireteams find themselves repeatedly defeated.

9 Dul Incaru, the Eternal Return

The Hive Wizard That Was Never Buffed, Leading to Easy One-Phase Kills

Destiny 2: Every Dungeon Final Boss, Ranked

  • Featured Dungeon: The Shattered Throne
  • Forsaken Pack

Back in the day, I faced my first final boss in Destiny 2 – Dul Incaru, hidden within the Shattered Throne Dungeon. As a follower of the Ascendant Hive and the daughter of the enigmatic Savathun, known as the Witch Queen, I was anticipating a formidable challenge. However, to my surprise, she turned out to be just a one-phase strike boss, which seemed rather anticlimactic given her lineage and the grandeur surrounding her character. Yet, considering how dungeons were not as fully-fledged back then as they are now, it’s easy to understand why she wasn’t more challenging.

Destroying Dul Incaru’s faithful Fatesmiths makes her an effortless target. Skilled Guardians find Dul Incaru simple to defeat due to her lack of growth in strength compared to the increasing prowess of Guardians.

8 Zulmak, Instrument of Torment

A Hive Knight Who Desires a Throne, A Brutal Brawler For Guardians Unprepared

Destiny 2: Every Dungeon Final Boss, Ranked
  • Featured Dungeon: Pit of Heresy
  • Shadowkeep Pack

A minion from the Hive, known as Zulmak, Instrument of Torment, emerges as a new adversary for the Guardians. Originally a champion, Zulmak has been reanimated into a terrifying figure who now serves the Daughters of Crota. This fearsome being poses a fresh threat to the Guardians as they explore the Scarlet Keep’s Pit of Heresy Dungeon.

In the end, it was Zulmak’s own pursuit that led to his downfall, as the Guardians descended into his lair, swiftly defeating him. To trigger Zulmak’s boss mode, players simply need to position some crystals within the central arena. Once activated, they can effortlessly deal massive damage to him until this troublesome prince is vanquished.

7 Kell Echo

A Manifestation of The Nine Who Has Guardians Run a Marathon

Destiny 2: Every Dungeon Final Boss, Ranked
  • Featured Dungeon: Prophecy
  • Free-to-Play

The Kell Echo isn’t an entity summoned by Oryx or the Darkness; rather, it’s a manifestation brought forth by the enigmatic Nine. This phantom serves as a demonstration of the potential for combining Light and Dark for noble purposes. However, the Kell Echo carries a message that could be instructive, but Guardians might end up ending his life before he can impart it.

Chasing the Kell Echo’s boss form is more like a lengthy endurance race, as players need to track him through various teleporting stages that stretch along a corridor devoid of time and space. Players equipped with powerful weapons and the Celestial Nighthawk will find it relatively easy to defeat the Kell Echo within no more than two phases, and in some cases, even just one.

6 Captain Avarokk, the Covetous

An Eliksni Pirate Who Hoards Traps and Treasures With a Fallen Crew

Destiny 2: Every Dungeon Final Boss, Ranked
  • Featured Dungeon: Grasp of Avarice
  • Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack

A band of unscrupulous Eliksni, under their captain, Captain Avarokk – a man obsessed with amassing wealth beyond a Guardian’s wildest dreams – are lured into a vault filled with riches. While Avarokk’s insatiable greed for treasure is his primary motivation, he lacks any significant ambition beyond hoarding loot. His motley crew of pirates poses stiff competition for Guardians who venture into the caves in the Cosmodrome, seeking their own fortunes.

In the battle against Captain Avarokk, it’s essential to deposit Cursed Engrams into a central crystal while dodging the gunfire from Avarokk, his crewmate, and an aggressive Shank-parrot companion. The sheer number of Avarokk’s followers can make him a challenging opponent for solo players, but with a skilled Fireteam, he will be quickly defeated.

5 Hefnd’s Vengeance, Blighted Chimaera

The Vengeance of an Ahamkara Who uses Scorn to Overwhelm Each Stage

Destiny 2: Every Dungeon Final Boss, Ranked
  • Featured Dungeon: Warlord’s Ruin
  • Lightfall Dungeon Key

In the frosty expanse of the EDZ, players will encounter Hefnd’s Vengeance, the corrupted Chimaera that symbolizes the last incarnation of the Ahamkara, Hefnd, who was fatally wounded during the Great Ahamkara Hunt by Lord Shaxx. Accompanied by an army of Scorn, Hefnd is no ordinary adversary.

As a gamer, I’m deep into the heart of this game, and it’s time to engage the boss damage phase. The goal is clear: eliminate those Broken Knights to cleanse the corrupted totems, boosting the damage counter. But watch out for the curses from those Corrupted Hex-Drinkers!

4 Persys, Primordial Ruin

The Vex Wyvern Commanded by the Witness to Destroy

Destiny 2: Every Dungeon Final Boss, Ranked
  • Featured Dungeon: Spire of the Watcher
  • The Witch Queen Dungeon Key

The mighty Vex Wyvern belonging to the Sol Divisive becomes more powerful with the data it devours at the behest of the Witness on Mars’ Ares Spire, posing a significant threat. Within the heart of the Seraph Reactor Core in the Ares Spire, Guardians must overload the reactor to expel Persys and create an opportunity for assault.

Triggering the attack phase involves passing the Arcturian boost and accurately firing nodes in the proper order, while defeating Persys is quite straightforward – it can be effortlessly accomplished using a Well of Radiance and a few celestial rockets, effectively turning this Wyvern into Vex waste.

3 Nightmare of Caital, Princess-Imperial

Calus’ Nightmare is Unrelenting With Cabal Strength

Destiny 2: Every Dungeon Final Boss, Ranked
  • Featured Dungeon: Duality
  • The Witch Queen Dungeon Key

Return to the Derelict Leviathan, where Eris Morn can conjure the mindscape of Calus for Guardians to explore like a labyrinth. Inside, Guardians discover Nightmares unleashed, where at the center of his mind is none other than his daughter, his betrayer, Empress Caital.

In this encounter with Caital, players need to follow a lengthy sequence before entering the damage phase. First, they should insert the proper symbols into the bells, followed by ringing them to weaken Caital. Subsequently, players must aim for the correct bell in her presence to initiate the damage phase. This triggers an intense chase where players use all their resources while Psions continuously attack and provoke.

2 The Corrupted Puppeteer

An Exo-Fallen Hybrid With A Powerful Arc Sniper, An Army of Puppets, and Electrical Fields

Destiny 2: Every Dungeon Final Boss, Ranked
  • Featured Dungeon: Vesper’s Host
  • The Final Shape Dungeon Key

Dark secrets lurk on a derelict BrayTech space station in the orbit of Europa, and at its end, Guardians will discover the malformed and Corrupted Puppeteer, with suspicious connections to Atraks-1 from Deep Stone Crypt. This Corrupted Puppeteer is a Fallen within the body of an Exo, and it’s time for Guardians to take it out.

In the latest dungeon of Destiny 2, known as Vesper’s Host, the challenge level is quite high. Navigating to the boss fight isn’t straightforward, and Guardians need to trigger nuclear cores to move the Corrupted Puppeteer onto the main battlefield. Once there, the Broken Puppets and Arc damage abnormalities multiply rapidly, creating numerous opportunities for death and forcing a restart of the encounter.

1 Simmumah ur-Nokru, Lucent Necromancer

A Teleporting Wizard With a Lucent Hive and Arc Moth Army

Destiny 2: Every Dungeon Final Boss, Ranked
  • Featured Dungeon: Ghosts of the Deep
  • Lightfall Dungeon Key

In the treacherous abyss of Titan, I’ve uncovered some wicked truths – like the malicious intentions of Simmumah ur-Nokru, the necromancer bent on reviving Oryx, the Taken King, who is bound to a Hive Ghost. This ominous character is manipulating Light itself to resurrect her monstrous target, and it’s a menace we can’t ignore. The challenge of facing Simmumah in battle is both thrilling and daunting, testing the limits of our Guardian abilities to the fullest.

Simmumah’s health reservoir is vast, and she consistently summons Arc moth attacks that can quickly wipe out Fireteams. Her frequent teleportation abilities make consistent damage challenging, and defeating the three Hive Lightbearers to reach her damage phase is no walk in the park, creating a formidable two-phase challenge for players. However, it could potentially stretch into a more typical 4-phase battle.
