Next week, I can hardly contain my excitement as I eagerly anticipate the launch of Act I of Heresy in Destiny 2, available across all platforms starting February 4th. Can’t wait to jump back into the game and explore the new content!
During today’s live stream, the studio showcased our initial glimpse into the new content they’ve been working on, as well as delved into details about a new activity titled “The Nether,” along with additional information.
Destiny 2: Heresy Act I Shown Off In Devstream
In the game of Heresy, players will find themselves back on the Dreadnought, but they should be prepared for a different kind of adventure. As Destiny 2’s Narrative Architect Nikko Stevens puts it, “The return of the Dreadnought in Heresy is significant because it won’t be a familiar experience; we’ll be battling through it in ways we haven’t encountered before.
After nearly a decade, the Dreadnaught has stirred back to life, causing a buzz among the Vanguard and Guardians throughout the system. It’s time to uncover what happened to the Dreadnaught since Oryx was defeated and his domain fell into disrepair, devoid of a Navigator,” Stevens notes.
As a gamer, I’ve stumbled upon an exhilarating new mode known as The Nether. Bungie labels it as an adrenaline-pumping fusion of exploration, combat, and gameplay tweaks that ramp up the challenge. Of course, there are fresh rewards linked to this thrilling activity, making it hard for guardians like me to resist diving in!
If you want additional information about The Nether, feel free to watch the live stream or explore Bungie’s recent blog post for further insights.
Destiny 2 Meets Star Wars
Today it was disclosed that Destiny 2 is partnering with the Star Wars franchise, meaning players can look forward to Star Wars-themed elements in the game on February 4th. This includes new character skins based on Star Wars classes, as well as armor ornaments modeled after the troopers and royal guards of the Galactic Empire from the Star Wars universe.
Three distinct armor adornments, one for each Guardian class, are set to appear, while additional Star Wars-themed trinkets will become available for purchase within the game shop.
In the coming months, Bungie has scheduled three acts for this episode of “Heresy.” These upcoming segments will offer additional activities, fresh equipment, and other exciting elements to further enhance your experience. As soon as we have more information, we’ll be sure to share it with you!
