Luckily, much like obtaining Vexcalibur or joining a solo choir, obtaining this gleaming new item is relatively effortless. Simply complete the Act 3 quest, and you’ll have the ability to penetrate the hearts of numerous Revenants among other weapons belonging to Fikrul.

Kell’s Fall

Initially, you should get hold of the quest that will allow entry into Kell’s Fall. You can locate this message on the holoprojector conveniently situated near Eido, within The Last City destination.

Head to the local market where you’ll find a deceased ghost resting on a table. Interact with it, and afterward, the Spider will chatter at you for some time regarding Act III: Kell of Kells.

Next, engage in conversation with Eido via the holographic projector. She will provide you with a shotgun frame that grants you access to the initial version of Kell’s Fall: Reflection.

Stepping into the mission, I find myself surrounded by neutral Scorn entities. As I progress, I run into the formidable Scorn Barons hailing from the Forsaken lands. Solving intricate puzzles is part of the deal, and I’ll be doing so by igniting braziers spread throughout the level.

Once you finish playing Kell’s Fall for the very first time, you will receive the Slayer’s Fang as an exotic shotgun.

Perk Pool And God Rolls

Initially, the Slayer’s Fang is a type of shotgun, specifically known as a Void slug shotgun. This weapon discharges a projectile that splinters into numerous smaller parts upon collision. These fragments, whether they strike opponents or surfaces, scatter indiscriminately.

Slayer’s Fang boasts an exceptional exotic trait known as Nightsworn Sight. Landing the final blow on enemies activates Nightsworn Sight, granting you enhanced vision, faster reload speeds, and increased precision damage during this period. Additionally, submunitions will weaken your targets while this ability is active.

1) Scoring a kill grants you approximately 7 seconds of enhanced vision (wall hacks), which you can extend as your killing streak continues. Furthermore, the Weaken effect combined with the damage boost can amount to a significant 32% rise in the damage inflicted.

As a seasoned gamer, I’ve been eagerly waiting to craft my very own Slayer’s Fang, much like other exotic weapons in recent times. The catch? You need to discover every single catalyst and inherent upgrades hidden within Kell’s Fall. Once you’ve managed that, the world’s your oyster – customize it to your heart’s content!

The Slayer’s Fang can be crafted with the following traits:

Barrel
  • Arrowhead Brake
  • Extended Barrel
  • Polygonal Rifling
  • Hammer-Forged Rifling
  • Full Bore
Magazine
  • Flared Magwell
  • Steady Rounds
  • Extended Mag
  • Assault Mag
  • Accurized Rounds
Trait Heart Piercer
Catalyst
  • Repulsor Brace
    • Defeating a Void-debuffed target grants an Overshield.
  • Loose Change
    • Applying an elemental debuff to a target increases this weapon’s reload speed for a short duration.
  • Stats For All
    • Hitting three separate targets increases weapon handling, stability, reload, and range for a moderate duration.
  • Cascade Point
    • Final blows or sustained precision hits with another weapon increase this weapon’s rate of fire for a short duration.
Stock

In simpler terms, Arrowhead Brake alters the trajectory of recoil into a more consistent path, while Assault Mag enhances the firing rate and steadiness. Unlike Player versus Player (PvP), you don’t need to focus much on reload speed in Player versus Environment (PvE).

Between the four Catalysts, it is generally more beneficial to utilize either the Repulsor Brace or the Cascade Point, as their effectiveness depends on your intended purpose with the Slayer’s Fang.

The Repulsor Brace is typically beneficial across all types of activities, since vanquishing any foe affected by the void debuff grants you a shield boost, potentially increasing your odds of staying alive.

In Episode 2: Revenant, these benefits are exclusive. If you’re on Episode 3: Heretic or later episodes, please ignore these benefits, and instead utilize the perks related to the void if they are available.

Because the weapon’s weakening rounds inherently include void debuffs, it harmonizes exceptionally with the existing seasonal artifact. These traits are essential, particularly if you’re using a void setup in your loadout.

  • Power from Pain – Rapid final blows against weakened combatants grants you Devour.
  • Frenzied Hunger – Rapid final blows while Devour is active grant a bonus to reload and handling.
  • Void Renewal – While Devour is active, Void weapon final blows have a chance to generate a Void Breach.
  • Supernova – Picking up a Void Breach causes your next source of Void damage to create a large weakening pulse.
  • Old God’s Rite – After picking up a Void Breach, dealing damage with a Void weapon creates a rain of seeking projectiles.

Utilizing the Repulsor Brace harmoniously with these seasonal artifact bonuses makes Slayer’s Fang a blast to wield in lower and medium level activities.

Regarding Cascade Point, it excels when you’re engaging in a non-void construction and wish to employ the Slayer’s Fang as any standard slug shotgun, offering high damage in close quarters for both sustained firing and powerful bursts.

It’s crucial to note that primarily due to its Catalysts, Slayer’s Fang is typically used in Player vs Environment (PvE) combat. However, with the right approach, this weapon can be effectively employed in Player vs Player (PvP) situations as well.

As a gamer, I can vouch that Slayer’s Fang holds its ground in player versus player combat, just like any other slug shotgun. If you’re partial to slugs, then Slayer’s Fang isn’t a bad pick due to its impressive base range of 75 units.

As a gamer, I find myself pondering over the choice of slug shotguns, which can seem like a niche option. However, why settle for less when The Chaperone clearly outshines all other slugs?

Using Void Hunter’s special ability, Truesight, significantly enhances the appeal of this weapon by making it easier to accurately aim and anticipate an opponent’s movements.

In a PvP scenario where you start with just one round, Repulsor Brace is the most reliable Catalyst to select due to limited options for inflicting void damage on opponents. Fitted Stock helps manage recoil significantly, although it decreases handling which can be compensated with Dexterity mods on your gloves.

Is Slayer’s Fang Good?

TL;DR? It’s okay.

Opinions on Slayer’s Fang within the community appear to largely be “acceptable,” which makes sense given that it’s often measured against an exceptional Void weapon, the Choir of One.

This weapon isn’t groundbreaking or the absolute best, but it’s also not terrible or unusable. Slug shotguns occupy an unusual position in the current game environment, and the Slayer’s Fang is doing well primarily due to its artifact bonuses. When this episode ends and those advantages disappear, there’s a possibility that this gun could become less popular or even forgotten.

Although Choir of One surpasses Slayer’s Fang in all categories, what keeps Slayer’s Fang somewhat useful is its built-in capacity to stun Overload Champions.

Regarding its advantages, Slayer’s Fang is capable of dishing out decent damage and is more proficient than other slug shotguns when it comes to swiftly taking down numerous fragile targets simultaneously.

Slayer’s Fang performs admirably on its own, but it loses significance when placed next to more formidable opponents such as Choir of One.

As a gamer, I’ll admit that this weapon may not perform optimally in Grand Master raids and dungeons, but it shines in less challenging activities like Onslaught or Strikes. When paired with a Void build and the seasonal perks of Episode Revenant, it becomes an absolute blast to use!
