As a die-hard fan, I’m excited that the finale of episode “Revenant” is just around the corner in less than two weeks! Plus, Destiny 2 has rolled out a fresh event where you can snag some incredibly cool gear at surprisingly affordable prices.
Similar to last year’s Riven’s Wishes event, it’s all about embarking on a series of quests this time around. These missions will be handed out by Drifter, and completing them will not only net you some exclusive Bento Tokens, but also the cherished Chatterwhite shader.
As a gamer, I got these tokens and I can tell you they’re useful for grabbing a bunch of stuff from Eris on the Moon. But remember, not every trinket in her inventory is worth your hard-earned tokens. Here’s my take on how each item stacks up, so you don’t end up regretting a purchase.
11. Artifice Armor
Terrible Rolls
Cost | 2 Bento Tokens (per armor piece) |
---|
As a dedicated gamer, I always prioritize seeking armor rolls with “peaky” stats, particularly high resilience, regardless of my character’s class. A useful tip to keep in mind is that armor pieces with overall stats below 65 are generally not worth considering for advanced build crafting.
Instead of purchasing Artifice armor pieces from Eris using 2 Bento Tokens each for the Biosphere Explorer (Titan), Hinterland (Hunter), and Ossuary (Warlock), it’s advisable to farm Artifice armor from Dungeons as these items may not be worth spending your Bento Tokens.
These rolls are terribly disappointing – none of the armor pieces for any class seem to have decent stats. It would be wiser to use your Bento Tokens elsewhere.
10. Riptide
Don’t Make Shaxx Jealous
Cost | 1 Bento Token |
---|
It appears that Eris is unloading the Riptide gun, and what makes it appealing is that it comes equipped with Compulsive Reloader and Chill Clip as its additional features.
Instead, consider using your Bento Tokens on alternative items as you’ve already got the ability to focus Riptide through Shaxx by sacrificing two Crucible engrams. Additionally, there are other Stasis fusion rifles like the Deliverance from Vow of the Disciple raid that can come with the Chill Clip perk.
To further emphasize Riptide’s redundancy, the Tinasha’s Mastery is a Stasis-based rocket sidearm that can come with the Chill Clip perk. What makes it even more appealing is that you can obtain an optimal roll (Air Trigger and Chill Clip) by merely reaching rank 4 in Iron Banner.
9. Spoils Of Conquest
No Need For Farming
Cost | 1 Bento Token for 25 Spoils |
---|
In simpler terms, “Spoils of Conquest” serves as a form of currency that you can acquire by successfully finishing raid battles and opening chests within these encounters. The Bento Token, which you work hard to obtain, might be used for Spoils if you’re just shy of reaching the required amount or if your schedule doesn’t allow enough time for raiding. Who wouldn’t prefer joining a full team for an exciting raid instead?
In addition, there’s a method for obtaining the Spoils of Conquest on your own. These checkpoint bots secure the entry points for raids and dungeons, allowing you to quickly pick up the spoils without needing to overcome any earlier obstacles.
You are allowed to acquire Spoils on a maximum of three occasions, accumulating a total of 75 units if you opt for the full purchase each time.
8. Ascendant Alloy
Essential Crafting Material
Cost | 1 Bento Token for 2 Alloys |
---|
Rare substances known as Ascendant Alloys can be employed to elevate weapon attributes, enabling you to enhance or refine the weapons you’ve crafted or improved yourself.
If you’re Glimmer and have a decent amount of resources (10 Enhancement Prisms and 50,000 Glimmer), you can buy them from Master Rahool. Earning Ascendant Alloys more efficiently is by participating in the Master version of The Wellspring activity.
If your regular gameplay involves high-level or endgame content, you might occasionally acquire Ascendant Alloys as a reward from such activities, including seasonal content with higher tiers.
7. Ascendant Shard
Hole In One
Cost | 1 Bento Token for 2 Shards |
---|
Just as I’m drawn to the premium quality of Ascendant Alloys, I can’t help but appreciate the importance of Ascendant Shards in my gear’s advancement. To put it simply, I find myself using Ascendant Shards for enhancing my armor.
Known fondly as “golf balls” within the community, Ascendant Shards are available for purchase at the same cost as Ascendant Alloy from Rahool.
Apart from acquiring Ascendant Shards through other means, you can additionally obtain them by participating in Grandmaster Nightfall events and endgame missions such as cooperative campaign missions or the Excision mission.
6. Exotic Ciphers
Siphon A Cipher
Cost | 1 Bento Token for 1 Cipher |
---|
Rare Exotic Ciphers can be acquired infrequently due to their limited availability. These ciphers can either be utilized for the acquisition of unique exotic gear, or they can enhance the attributes of your exotic armor, similar to Artifice armor.
You can acquire Exotic Ciphers in several ways such as advancing through the Season Pass, starting over your rank with Xur, buying a weekly mission from Xur, or resetting your rank with Master Rahool.
If you’re in desperate need of an Exotic Cipher, then it might be worth the Bento Token.
5. Mementos
Exclusively Cosmetic
Cost | 1 Bento Token for 1 Memento |
---|
Mementos are special accessories you can attach to your weapons, which provide them with unique visual appearances, names, and tracking for the activities they symbolize. These could be Nightfalls, Trials, or Festivals; they’re valuable items that can enhance your reputation as a Guardian.
You can only buy a curated selection from Eris:
- Gambit
- Nightfall
- Iron Banner
- Festival of the Lost
- Dawning
- Guardian Games
- Solstice
Consider purchasing these mementos only if you have yearned for them during their respective events like Festival of the Lost, Dawning, Guardian Games, and Solstice. As they occur annually, and their shaders are visually appealing, these items make excellent selections if you wish to invest your earned tokens in them.
4. Igneous Hammer (Adept)
Shoot Your Shot
Cost | 1 Bento Token |
---|
The Igneous Hammer is a 120rpm hand cannon powered by solar energy, exclusively obtainable through the Trials of Osiris. If you’re in search of a potent weapon for Player versus Player (PvP) combat, this could be an essential addition to your arsenal.
This tool comes equipped with two notable advantages: Fragile Focus and Precision Instrument. Enhanced by a Range Masterwork, it enables you to initiate battles in the Crucible, giving you an edge over your adversaries by striking first.
This is a respectable purchase if you really can’t be bothered with Trials.
3. Horror’s Least (Adept)
Burst Into Action
Cost | 1 Bento Token |
---|
The 540rpm Arc pulse rifle known as Horror’s Least is exclusively obtained through successfully finishing Grandmaster Nightfalls. Given that the weapons from Grandmaster drops change weekly, it would be wise to contemplate acquiring this weapon.
Equipped with benefits like the “Eternal Motion” and the “Deadly Fragment,” this Expert Terror’s Minimum could prove advantageous in Player versus Player combat. Additionally, it provides you with a “Balance Expertise.
When fully upgraded, this can put in some serious work in consistent damage.
2. Cloudstrike
Big Day For Empire Hunt Haters
Cost | 3 Bento Tokens |
---|
Today is a significant day for those who dislike Empire Hunts solely for the purpose of obtaining the Cloudstrike gun. Given my experience, I’ve certainly farmed Empire Hunts numerous times, approximately 20-30 times, to accumulate the Cloudstrike.
It would be highly beneficial for you to acquire this firearm, particularly if you aim to avoid the grueling process of Empire Hunts as they can be quite challenging (to put it mildly). Instead, you could directly purchase the gun and save yourself the trouble.
As a dedicated player, I can’t help but be thrilled by this exceptional sniper rifle! In PvP scenarios, it boasts an incredible ability to swiftly eliminate an entire enemy squad with just one well-placed headshot – if they happen to cluster together. On the other hand, during raids, it proves to be a reliable damage per second (DPS) weapon, dishing out significant damage to bosses.
1. Cataphract GL3 (Adept)
Don’t Miss Out On This GL
Cost | 1 Bento Token |
---|
As a dedicated Guardian, I can tell you that exchanging a solitary Bento Token grants me access to one of the game’s top Damage Per Second (DPS) grenade launchers – the Adept Cataphract GL3. This Strand adaptive frame heavy grenade launcher is a rare gem, exclusively obtainable through the challenging Trials of Osiris.
Its advantages include “Envy Strike” and “Decoy & Swap,” making it ideal for high damage bursts during boss battles. Additionally, its innate trait, “Swiftness,” enhances your reload speed, stability, grip, and aim assistance when playing alone.
If you’re seeking effective damage options, this item is a definite essential. Additionally, it’s worth noting that Banshee-44 also stocks the VS Chill Inhibitor, another robust choice with comparable features. Each of these items has its unique applications for dealing damage, making them both valuable additions to your arsenal.
