Destiny 2 Making Highly Requested Change to Exotic Class Armor

Destiny 2 Making Highly Requested Change to Exotic Class Armor

Highlights

  • Bungie announces changes to help make the Prismatic armor in Destiny 2 easier to farm with better drop rates, chest spawns, and weekly challenge.
  • For completing the weekly challenge, the first completion will offer a second class item and can be completed again on alternate characters.
  • Bungie has also acknowledged feedback for making class item exotics available to earn through more activities, but for now, Dual Destiny and the Pale Heart are it.

As a dedicated Destiny 2 player with countless hours invested in this intriguing and expansive universe, I couldn’t be more thrilled about Bungie’s recent announcements concerning the Prismatic exotic class armor farming experience! The new changes coming in early August are a welcome relief for those of us who have been struggling to obtain specific rolls for our beloved exotics.

In Destiny 2, Bungie shares details on simplifying the process of obtaining Prismatic exotic class armor through enhanced drops, improved chest spawns, and a fresh weekly challenge. The Final Shape update has been positively received by the community, providing resolution to Destiny 2’s extended narrative about light and darkness that spans over a decade. Despite this fulfilling conclusion, players remain engaged with an abundance of new content, including farming for updated gear, resources, and weapons to further enhance their Guardian’s power.

One of the most divisive additions to Destiny 2 was the exotic mission called Dual Destiny. The mission broke conventions by being a duo mission only, pushing players to communicate as they traverse both combat and puzzle situations, ultimately leading to the game’s first ever exotic classic item. The fanbase seemed to be divided as some absolutely loved how unique and interesting the mission was, while others were not thrilled that the unique prismatic exotic was locked behind a non-matchmaking activity for only 2 players. However, once the mission was completed, players could have a chance to farm the item from Pale Heart chests, though with so many unique possibilities, players have found it difficult to hunt for specific rolls.

Based on the feedback received from the player community regarding the various perk rolls for Destiny 2‘s exotic class armor, Bungie has decided to make some adjustments in early August to simplify the farming process. Although obtaining Pale Heart is still contingent upon completing the Dual Destiny quest, Bungie will enhance the probability of getting this item by increasing the drop rate from opening Overthrow chests. Moreover, the likelihood of acquiring Pale Heart from higher-tiered chests and Lost Sector or co-op missions will also be enhanced. Furthermore, to discourage the farming of random Pale Heart chests, Bungie will decrease their occurrence, making it more beneficial for players to engage in daily Overthrow activities to increase their chances.

Destiny 2 Adds a New Weekly Challenge

As a long-time fan of Destiny 2, I’m thrilled to hear about the latest updates from Bungie. Having spent countless hours grinding for exotic class items, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and relief at this new weekly challenge.

As a long-time Destiny 2 player, I’ve grown accustomed to the rhythm of new content drops and the excitement that comes with them. However, the introduction of timegated Episode: Echoes has been a frustrating experience for many in our community. Despite this setback, I’ve found myself enjoying the various activities and rewards on offer during the second act.
