As a seasoned Guardian with countless hours logged in Destiny 2, I can hardly contain my excitement about the upcoming changes to exotic weapons in Episode: Revenant! The Choir of One has been my go-to auto rifle for far too long, and while I’m a bit sad to see its power being dialed back, I understand the need for balance.

In just a few days, Destiny 2 players will get their hands on Episode: Revenant, and Bungie has given us a sneak peek of the exotic weapon modifications that are part of this update, including the long-awaited adjustments to Choir of One. As we eagerly await the release of this new chapter in Destiny 2, Bungie is dishing out details about the Scorn-focused overhaul set to drop on October 8.

In fact, this week gave fans the best look at Revenant yet, as Bungie held a new Destiny 2 developer showcase for the approaching episode. During the stream, Bungie revealed more of the story for Episode: Revenant, confirming the return of characters like Mithrax and Eido to help assist the player as they go up against Fikrul’s scorn army. Players will be able to craft potions for limited time bonuses, take part in an all-new Onslaught activity, and take on the Vesper’s Host dungeon. In addition to new weapons and armor, this Episodic update is also bringing with it major changes to the game’s sandbox, including many of its existing exotic weapons.

As a passionate Destiny 2 gamer, I can’t help but express my excitement about the exotic auto rifle, Choir of One. This bad boy entered the scene through the latest exotic mission in Episode: Echoes and quickly became a crowd favorite due to its impressive DPS and dual firing modes. However, Bungie has been giving us a heads-up about some changes coming for the Choir of One, and with Episode: Revenant, those changes are finally here.

Destiny 2: Episode Revenant Exotic Weapon Changes

Besides Choir of One, other exotic items in Destiny 2’s Episode: Revenant update are also set for adjustments on October 8. Here’s a list of those weapons and their planned modifications, provided by Bungie:

Bungie also removed sticky grenade, flame grenade, and remote detonation function.
LuminaHip fire projectiles now behave similar to support auto rifle healing shots.

As a dedicated Destiny 2 player, I’m thrilled about the upcoming changes Bungie has announced. Notably, they’ve shared significant adjustments to the abilities of most subclasses in Destiny 2. Particularly, roaming supers seem to be getting a boost to enhance their viability against the high-damage burst supers that have gained popularity. For instance, the Lightning Surge aspect for Warlocks and the Hailfire Spike grenades for the Prismatic Hunter are among those improvements.
