Destiny 2 Reveals New Solstice Event Details and ‘Beach’ Themed Armor

In Destiny 2, Bungie unveiled some significant adaptations to their annual Solstice event in line with the introduction of The Edge of Fate’s new features. Although Destiny 2 has moved away from its usual seasonal model for The Edge of Fate, it seems that Bungie is now focusing on short-term events and frequent content updates to the Portal to keep players engaged between major overhauls.

Currently, enthusiasts of Destiny 2 are participating in Arms Week, an innovative event that highlights a specific weapon category, starting with Hand Cannons for this initial round. Alongside special Volatile Mods, players can acquire new hand cannons such as the Phoneutria Fera, which draws its design more from shotguns. Before this, Destiny 2 hosted its World’s First race for the Desert Perpetual Raid, and now the annual Solstice event is quickly approaching.

Just as anticipated, “Destiny 2” is reprising its Solstice event, but this year’s edition promises to deviate significantly from previous years. In their latest blog post, Bungie has announced that players will indeed be working towards restoring armor, with the added twist of unique luminescent effects. The post also hinted at fresh rewards, such as a Ghost Shell, Holofoil weapons, and exclusive “Destiny 2” themed summer-inspired armor sets. Interestingly, these special armor sets will be available for purchase via Eververse, though they come with a premium tag.

For now, Bungie is dealing with the aftermath of a cheating issue that surfaced during the Desert Perpetual raid in Destiny 2, which was considered one of the toughest raids by many due to technical glitches and the novel non-linear structure of the gameplay. As word spread that several successful clearances might not have been genuine, Bungie felt compelled to look into it, and they made sure to remind players that breaching their Code of Conduct could lead to a ban from the game.
