Destiny 2: The Best Echoes Weapons, Ranked

Destiny 2: The Best Echoes Weapons, Ranked

As a seasoned Guardian with years of experience under my belt, I’ve seen my fair share of weapons come and go. But let me tell you, the recent additions to our arsenal have truly left an impression on me.

Using the “The Final Shape” expansion, Bungie has introduced the initial episode for “Destiny 2,” titled “Echoes.” This new seasonal structure consists of three distinct acts. With each act, additional content is unveiled for players to explore and enjoy. Similarly, the weapons themed around the Vex have been made obtainable within this expansion.

As a seasoned Destiny 2 player with countless hours spent clearing Vex infestations, I’m thrilled to share my excitement about the upcoming new weapons in Echoes of the Deep. So far, we’ve only gotten our hands on five of the total ten new weapons, with the other half yet to be released. The good news is that these five weapons can already be obtained from Failsafe and through the Echoes activity.

As we delve into the first episode of Echoes, this ranking may change. Weapons will become available in each act, leading to updates in the rankings.

10 Ill Omen

Stasis Sword

Destiny 2: The Best Echoes Weapons, Ranked
  • God Roll: Relentless Strikes & Surrounded

In Destiny 2, the new Stasis sword sits at the bottom of the list due to its limited use. The melee playstyle it embodies is not universally effective, as melee combat in the game functions best in specific situations. Furthermore, only a select few swords are truly worth the effort required to acquire them.

The Ill Omen weapon may not be a top choice for most players due to other more pressing needs, but its Surrounded perk is certainly worth considering. This perk is known for being effective in dealing damage when triggered.

9 Sightline Survey

Arc 180 RPM Hand Cannon

Destiny 2: The Best Echoes Weapons, Ranked
  • God Roll: Enlightened Action/Strategist & Voltshot

Approximately 180 hand cannons are longing for some attention, making it unfortunate that the most recent Arc-type hand cannon adheres to this category, considering it boasts an intriguing and formidable perk like Voltshot. However, its quick burst firing isn’t preferred by all players.

It’s unlikely that Sightline Survey or Ill Omen will rank high, given their specialized nature. For those seeking an alternative to Nation of Beasts, the search continues as no satisfactory option has emerged thus far.

8 Timeworn Wayfarer

Solar Scout Rifle

Destiny 2: The Best Echoes Weapons, Ranked
  • God Roll: Heal Clip/Shoot to Loot & Incandescent

If the design of this scout rifle seems recognizable, it’s because it resembles a few other rifles in the game. The scout rifle category isn’t particularly powerful in the game and is mainly used for activities where players need to hide behind cover and shoot from a distance. However, the Timeworn Wayfarer has some intriguing perk choices worth considering.

As a seasoned gamer, I’ve found that “Shoot to Loot” is a game-changer during endgame sessions. It lets me grab Orbs of Power and ammo bricks from a safe distance, which is essential for keeping my arsenal loaded and my abilities charged. Furthermore, “Heal Clip” comes in handy when I need a little extra health sustainability. And let’s not forget about “Incandescent,” which is an absolute must-have, especially for weapons like scout rifles that typically struggle with single-target precision engagements.

7 Veiled Threat

Stasis Auto Rifle

Destiny 2: The Best Echoes Weapons, Ranked
  • God Roll: Strategist/Threat Detector & Surrounded

As a seasoned Destiny 2 player with countless hours spent grinding through raids and crucibles, I can confidently share my perspective on auto rifles in the game. In general, they occupy a middle ground in terms of power and versatility. However, the true greatness of an auto rifle largely depends on its unique perk pool.

The Stasis auto rifle you’ll get comes equipped with intriguing perks such as Strategist or Threat Detector in a single column. Another appealing choice for enhancing damage is Surrounded, effective when players are near enemies.

6 Corrasion

Arc Pulse Rifle

Destiny 2: The Best Echoes Weapons, Ranked
  • God Roll: Enlightened Action & Voltshot

As a gamer, I found myself yearning for an Arc pulse rifle in the game, but alas, Corrasion, being a heavy burst frame one, just didn’t cut it. It was a disappointing substitute for the Insidious, the Arc pulse rifle from the Vow of the Disciple raid. However, the similarity ends there. The Insidious boasts more intriguing perks and an exceptionally powerful Origin Trait that sets it apart from Corrasion.

Although Voltshot is a desirable perk for this weapon, Enlightened Action was expected to be the optimal roll. However, it’s still decent, and there’s a chance that Perpetual Motion could surpass it, depending on the specific use of this pulse rifle by players. Ultimately, this weapon ranks as average in performance.

5 Chronophage

Void Trace Rifle

  • God Roll: Auto-Loading Holster & Demolitionist

You can’t obtain this weapon just yet. Please wait until the next Act for Echoes comes out and try again then. The suggested god roll given below is an estimation.

4 Speleologist

Solar Machine Gun

  • God Roll: Slideways/Envious Assassin & Incandescent/Killing Tally

You can’t get this weapon just yet. Please come back after the next update for Echoes: Act V. The suggested god roll presented here is an estimation.

3 Faith-Keeper

Void Rocket Launcher

Destiny 2: The Best Echoes Weapons, Ranked
  • God Roll: Auto-Loading Holster & Bipod/Explosive Light

As a seasoned player with hundreds of hours invested in this game, I’ve seen my fair share of Legendary weapons come and go. For a long time, Royal Entry held the coveted spot as the go-to Void rocket launcher. But recently, Faith-Keeper has entered the scene, promising to fill the void left by its predecessor.

As a gamer, I can’t wait to put this new gear to the test! The Auto-Loading Holster and Bipod or Explosive Light combo sounds intriguing. With surges becoming more common in endgame activities, this setup could potentially outshine other rocket launchers due to the surge damage boost it offers. Let’s see how it performs during gameplay!

2 Lost Signal

Stasis Aerial Denial Grenade Launcher

Destiny 2: The Best Echoes Weapons, Ranked
  • God Roll: Auto-Loading Holster & One For All

An innovative new frame for a grenade launcher, named Echoes, has been unveiled and is generating considerable excitement. This renowned grenade launcher functions somewhat like a budget version of Witherhoard, leaving behind a puddle of Stasis on the floor. It’s already proving to be an excellent alternative for players seeking to efficiently clear out adversaries in their loadouts.

Regarding benefits, an Auto-Loading Holster is essential for grenade launchers. As for the second perk, while it’s not mandatory, considering how frequently One For All can be activated on Lost Signal, it’s challenging to consider any other alternative in the second column.

1 Aberrant Action

Solar Rocket-Assisted Sidearm

Destiny 2: The Best Echoes Weapons, Ranked
  • God Roll: Heal Clip & Incandescent

The Solar Heal Clip and Incandescent were highly anticipated contenders for the latest Solar rocket sidearm in Destiny 2, as evidenced by Bungie’s Act 2 teaser showcasing this specific variant. This weapon has generated significant hype because of its impressive capabilities. In truth, it might be the standout seasonal weapon that has graced the game in recent memory, primarily thanks to the strength of the rocket-boosted sidearm class.

As a fan of Aberrant Action, I find its distinct design truly captivating. Unlike other weapons I’ve used, it doesn’t resemble a mere reskin of something from the past. Instead, it brings an entirely fresh feel to the table, and I believe it could even be marketed as an Exotic weapon without raising any eyebrows. Currently, you can obtain this gem through Echoes activities, so don’t miss out while rocket sidearms still hold a significant power. The synergy between Aberrant Action and Solar builds is particularly noteworthy, especially those that capitalize on scorch damage and the Ember of Benevolence perk. This perk activates through healing, allowing for some intriguing combinations in gameplay.
