In the wake of Episode Heresy, Destiny 2 has undergone several transformative updates, brightening its future significantly since the release of Revenant. Not only have Arc subclasses in Destiny 2 been enhanced, but also a variety of Arc Exotics and an array of Arc-related mods have been added to the Episode’s Artifact. This has resulted in a more seamless and efficient gameplay loop for Arc than ever before, potentially even improving upon its initial performance. The spotlight has particularly been on Bolt Charge, with one of the game’s classes utilizing it to deviate from its traditional role.
Players who favor Arc subclasses have found success in the recently launched Sundered Doctrine Dungeon and its associated World First race. Last night, a team of players known as Biggz, Mariomonkey, and luigistyle emerged victorious, although many other Guardians are still working their way through the Dungeon. A significant aspect of Destiny 2’s endgame, particularly in PvE, is having optimal builds for boss fights, which often demand a more ranged playstyle. Typically, Titans struggle due to numerous Exotics and abilities designed for melee damage within their arsenal, but Heresy defies this convention.
Destiny 2’s Titans Finally Have a Top-Tier Ranged Build in Episode Heresy
In Destiny 2, Titans are heavily reliant on melee attacks, which caused problems for the class when The Final Shape was introduced. Few Titans managed to reach the Witness encounter within the accompanying Raid, and even fewer completed it using this class. Many boss battles were designed with ranged abilities and weapons in mind, and even those that favored melee combat could still be overcome with ranged setups. As a result, the Titan has always been in an awkward position, but this is starting to shift with Heresy.
Users of Storm’s Keep Arc Aspect can accumulate Bolt Charge stacks whenever the Barricade skill is activated. Once the maximum of 10 stacks is reached, using any ability will trigger Bolt Charge, consuming all stacks and inflicting a substantial amount of damage on the target as well as a nearby area. This empowers Titan builds in Destiny 2 by providing them with an effective toolset for maintaining distance and dishing out sufficient damage to rival Hunters and Warlocks.
Why The New Storm’s Keep Arc Build in Destiny 2 is OP

While ranged builds haven’t historically been the go-to choice for Titans, they may not offer optimal single-target damage or have been weakened compared to other builds, such as the original Touch of Thunder build that gained popularity with Arc 3.0. However, Bolt Charge is a significant boost to Arc abilities, and Storm’s Keep amplifies this strength by granting stackable Bolt Charge not only to the Titan but also to nearby teammates. This setup theoretically allows for a team of Titans to consistently inflict Bolt Charge damage on enemies, potentially creating a formidable strategy against Destiny 2’s Raid bosses.
With just a Titan equipped with Storm’s Keep, possibly other equipment like the Heart of Inmost Light as exotic armor, and weapons such as The Queenbreaker, Wardcliff Coil, or Thunderlord for the exotic weapon slot, you can easily wipe out enemies while maintaining high damage per second (DPS). Firing up Bolt Charge is effortless with Storm’s Keep, and it enables the class to surpass its usual melee builds. Moreover, Bolt Charge performs admirably in various Destiny 2 activities, particularly excelling in team play. This Aspect is a real game-changer, making it worthwhile for more Titans to save it in their loadouts.
