Destiny 2’s Top 7 Activities to Enjoy After Beating The Final Shape

As Destiny 2: Frontiers draws closer following the downfall of the Witness, let’s explore some exciting and enjoyable activities players can participate in post-The Final Shape release, ensuring a steady stream of weekly entertainment even after vanquishing the game’s main antagonist.

Even though the main plot has concluded, there’s still plenty of fun to be had in Destiny 2. As a live-service game, there’s always more fun to discover, so why not take on additional challenges and enjoy some of Destiny 2’s top content before the upcoming changes with Destiny 2: Frontiers?

7. Dungeons

10 Dungeons Provide a Fun Challenge for Teams of 3 or Solo Players

In the game Destiny 2, dungeons such as The Shattered Throne and Sundered Doctrine have consistently improved with each update. These Raid-like challenges offer players challenging endgame content that is difficult to master but fair to learn. Three characters, or Guardians, are given the mission to venture into the unknown to thwart the monstrous forces at play. Typically, these dungeons consist of three distinct phases, each with unique rewards.

As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but rave about not just the captivating tales they weave, but also the unforgettable experiences they provide. Whether it’s engaging in a thrilling showdown against a wizard atop Oryx’s corpse with Ghosts of the Deep, or scaling the lofty heights of Spire of the Watcher to confront the Vex, a collection of ten dungeons offers an exhilarating challenge for players yearning for accolades, achievements, and rewards. This adventure can be embarked upon solo or in the company of comrades, making each conquest even more satisfying!

6. Tomb of Elders

Survive Encounters in the Prison of Elders

The Prison of Elders is a thrilling trip down memory lane, a time-honored activity reminiscent of the original Destiny, now reintroduced with tough trials and an overwhelming number of adversaries. Available exclusively during Episode: Revenant, players can dive into the Tomb of Elders to engage in repeatable skirmishes featuring unique modifiers due to the Warden’s Judgement, which tailors the modifiers for each encounter.

Players engage in an ongoing struggle against ads, supervisors, and other perilous adversaries, navigating numerous chambers and accomplishing side missions to endure and claim the potent treasures yet undiscovered, simultaneously working on crafting the ideal character setup for each impending combat scenario.

5. Onslaught

A Wave-Based Survival Mode for Testing Your Might

Using Vanguard’s Playlist, gamers can dive into Onslaught, Destiny 2’s wave-based survival game mode. Here, players protect a spot from escalating enemy attacks that become increasingly powerful with each confrontation. The objective is to accumulate points to boost and strengthen the defenses at the protected point itself. It’s incredibly thrilling to blast through Onslaught’s rounds on higher difficulty levels, aiming for round 50.

As a gamer, I find Onslaught incredibly thrilling! It’s a blast fulfilling weapon Catalysts, snatching unique Onslaught-themed loot that elevates my crafting endeavors, and of course, enjoying the exhilarating moments in the game. Essentially, it’s an action-packed PvE activity that puts players to the test, challenging us not only individually but also our carefully constructed builds against the darkness.

4. Court of Blades

A Boss Rush Against Some Powerful Hive and Taken Entities

In the game Episode: Heresy, the Court of Blades is a unique feature only available there. Here, players have the opportunity to enter the Dreadnaught and engage in tough battles against formidable bosses. The Court of Blades resembles a succession of boss fights, with each encounter providing tokens upon defeating the boss. These tokens can be saved up and used to boost the player’s abilities for the following battle, allowing them to experiment with strong builds designed to eliminate both regular enemies (ads) and bosses efficiently.

Attempting to defeat multiple bosses in a limited timeframe can be quite challenging, yet incredibly enjoyable. The suspense of not knowing which boss fight will come next until it’s already started adds an extra layer of excitement. It might not require deep intellectual engagement, but the fun factor skyrockets when you get to farm for the powerful weapons from Episode Heresy.

3. Trials of Osiris

Reach the Lighthouse to Triumph Over PvP Players

As a dedicated PvE player for quite some time, I’ve longed to conquer the mysterious and intimidating challenge that is The Lighthouse. Each weekend, I eagerly make my way to Saint-14 in the Tower’s Hangar area, seeking the Trials of Osiris Passage. This passage grants me the opportunity to engage in intense 3v3 battles against fellow Guardians, demonstrating my proficiency in multiplayer combat. I meticulously craft and refine my build and weapon selection, honing them for battles against other Guardians rather than bosses or ad-cluttered areas.

As a dedicated fan, I must say, the challenge presented by Trials of Osiris has always been a nail-biting, cutthroat journey – just like seasons past, the Lighthouse was an elusive destination that could only be reached by players who managed to secure seven victories in a row. However, this season brings a refreshing change! Now, we can continue playing Trials of Osiris, whether we emerge victorious or not, until we amass a total of 7 wins – no longer do we need to worry about the streak, just the ultimate goal.

2. Grandmaster Nightfalls

Showcase Strong Knowledge of Buildcrafting and Meta with Endgame Content

As a seasoned gamer, I can tell you that Grandmaster Nightfalls regularly appear in the Vanguard Playlist, transporting us into specific Strikes with challenging modifiers at every corner. Enemies get a boost, Champions join the fray, and if our team gets wiped out, we’re sent back to the cosmos. But let me tell you, Grandmaster Nightfalls are no walk in the park; they’re a thrilling test of skills that I can’t resist!

Experiencing defeat during a Grandmaster Nightfall may be pressuring, yet it serves as a valuable lesson about what needs improvement in your strategy, regardless if you’re a Titan, Warlock, or Hunter. Every player has the potential to turn things around in a Grandmaster Nightfall, and having the right build tailored for each week is crucial and exciting to design based on the enemy types and modifiers.

1. Raids

9 Raids Act as the Ultimate Mastery of the Game

In Destiny 2, achieving legendary status can only be accomplished through a Raid Report, highlighting a player’s courage and skill when tackling the game’s toughest and most lasting PvE content. Given that we’re nearing the end of the story, let’s take a moment to look back and relive some of Destiny 2’s finest moments – those being the Raids, which typically consist of around 4-5 challenges where each player has a specific role.

Organizing a team consisting of exactly 6 Guardians can sometimes be quite challenging, but utilizing effective LFG (Looking For Group) platforms could help players connect with new online companions and skilled groups. This way, they might elevate their prowess by defeating Oryx in King’s Fall, Rhulk in Vow of the Disciple, and other Raid bosses that showcase complex mechanics – potentially even earning a rare legendary title that only a select few Guardians can boast?
