A thrilling two-minute preview of the upcoming series Dexter: Resurrection was unveiled at CCXP Mexico, where eager fans were present. The trailer finds Michael C. Hall’s character, Dexter, recuperating from a chest wound in a hospital, only to be confronted by an old friend from Miami Metro, Angel Batista, who presses him about Angela Bishop’s claims that he is the Bay Harbor Butcher. Rather than engaging in conversation, Dexter decides to leave and travel to New York City instead.
Only in New York
In addition, spectators were introduced to Harrison Morgan for the first time, who seems to be uncovering his own sinister companion in New York City, as Batista drops by. Meanwhile, it’s evident that Dexter will rely on the code for direction in his forthcoming activities, with Harry Morgan’s ghostly presence.
The synopsis reads:
In the aftermath of getting shot by his son, Dexter Morgan (Hall) lies unconscious for weeks before waking up from a coma. To his dismay, Harrison (Jack Alcott), his son, has vanished without a trace. Stricken with guilt over the turmoil he caused his son, Dexter embarks on a journey to New York City in search of him, hoping to make amends for past mistakes. However, finding peace will not be straightforward. When former colleague Angel Batista (David Zayas) arrives with inquiries, Dexter recognizes the ghosts of his past are swiftly closing in on him. As they both grapple with their inner demons in the bustling city that never rests, they find themselves in a predicament far more complex than they ever anticipated – and the only escape might be found together.
The revival series, titled “Dexter: Resurrection,” is set to air on both Paramount+ and Showtime. The premiere kicks off with the first two episodes on July 11, followed by the remaining episodes being released weekly thereafter.
