Dreams or Reality Rewards
As you get ready for the climactic battle that will determine the future of Illiad, the real world, and prove your skills as a Digimon trainer, Digimon Story: Time Stranger will introduce many new optional missions.
In a quest called “Dreams or Reality,” you’ll explore both old and new areas, looking for mysterious copies of Hiroko.
Okay, so this objective is a real pain. It’s like those Core Dumps from Dr. Kuga – it doesn’t even *show up* on the map! And to make things worse, the Hirokos are spread out everywhere, across all the different worlds. Seriously, it feels like I have to search the entire game all over again just to find them all.
I say ‘technically’ because you don’t actually need to search for them yourself. I’ve already found all of Hiroko Sagisaka’s Monikers in Digimon Story: Time Stranger, and I’m going to show you how to find them too. Let’s get started.
The In-Between Theater lets you quickly travel to different times and locations. Here are the destinations, listed in the order they appear in the Time Jump catalog.
Hiroko Sagisaka’s Moniker #1
Central Town — 8 Years Ago

Go back in time to Digital Village as you were eight years ago, and then ride on Birdramon to reach the top of Center Tower.
Go down the structure until you reach the elevator to find a Hiroko staring at the sky.
Hiroko Sagisaka’s Moniker #2
Factorial Town — 8 Years Ago

Travel to Factorial Town and ride Birdramon to see Vulcanusmon. Afterward, go south and climb UltimateBrachiomon to return to the starting area.
Go through the first opening you see. This will bring you back to the Factorial Area, and you’ll find the Moniker right in front of you.
Hiroko Sagisaka’s Moniker #3
Abyss Beach — 8 Years Ago

This time, Birdramon won’t be able to help us. You can either speak with him to get a ride to Whamon in the Abyss Depths, or go straight to Whamon yourself.
After you reach the Depths, head south until you find Hiroko. Don’t worry, there’s a nearby door to the In-Between Theater you can use to easily escape the underwater area.
Hiroko Sagisaka’s Moniker #4
Gear Forest Village — 8 Years Ago

Once you arrive in Gear Forest after the time jump, you’ll begin near the north exit of the village. Head in that direction, and in the next area, go around Cherrymon while continuing north to find the Sanctuary.
Hiroko will be lying where Sirenmon will later sprout. Or, presently. Time travel is confusing.
Hiroko Sagisaka’s Moniker #5
Guardian Palace — 8 Years Ago

This should be simple. Head back to the Guardian Palace, and you’ll find Hiroko in the next room – she’s hiding by appearing as a god-like Digimon.
Hiroko Sagisaka’s Moniker #6
Central Town — Present Day

Didn’t get a chance to explore the sewers earlier? No problem, you can go back! Right when you arrive at Central Tower in the present, head into the sewers on your left.
Okay, so you need to head all the way down, down, down until you hit the main central room. That’s where you’ll find Hiroko, but be warned – she’s hanging out with a SkullMeramon and a Deltamon, so get ready for a fight!
Hiroko Sagisaka’s Moniker #7
Factorial Town — Present Day

Now that Birdramon has left us yet again, when you get to Factorial Town, you’ll need to make your way through Kokuwamon Park and down the UltimateBrachiomon slide to get to Vulcanusmon’s exhibit. Don’t forget to buy a ticket if you don’t already have one.
Inside, you’ll find Hiroko admiring that eight-armed action-figure fanatic Digimon.
Hiroko Sagisaka’s Moniker #8
Guardian Palace — Present Day

In present-day Guardian Palace, head north twice until you reach the Throne Room.
Hiroko is completely captivated by Junomon, almost as if she’s praying to her. It’s easy to see why – Junomon is incredibly compelling. Hiroko seems to be pleading for Junomon’s protection, saying, “Protect me, Mama Junomon.”
Hiroko Sagisaka’s Moniker #9
Abyss Beach — Present Day

Don’t waste time! Grab Birdramon’s fiery tail to fly directly to the Throne Room.
Head east from the south, towards the jail. You’ll find Hiroko posing like a character from Super Sentai near one of the cells.
Hiroko Sagisaka’s Moniker #10
Gear Forest Village — Present Day

Talk to Birdramon and fly to Locomon Station to find Hiroko near the tracks. Fast and easy.
Hiroko Sagisaka’s Moniker #11
Rebellion Village — Present Day

Another effortless one. Climb the northwest ladder in Rebellion Village to grab her.
Hiroko Sagisaka’s Moniker #12
Dark Crevasse — Present Day

Upon arriving in Dark Crevasse, talk to the nearby Birdramon and fly to the Dark Garden.
You’ll find a defeated Hiroko near the gate to Plutomon’s Throne Room.
Hiroko Sagisaka’s Moniker #13
Cosmic Terminal — Present Day

Get ready to skate – we need to hurry to Chill Cosmic’s Throne Room! There isn’t a faster way to get there, so let’s go! (I really don’t like those slippery Penmons.)
Once you reach the Throne Room, circle around it to find Hiroko.
Woohoo! I managed to find all of Hiroko Sagisaka’s hidden names in Digimon Story: Time Stranger! Now I gotta head back to The In-Between Theater to grab my reward. Let’s do this!
Dreams or Reality Rewards

First, you’ll unlock the “Dreams or Reality?” trophy. You’ll also get some in-game money, Anomaly Points, and a fun accessory as a reward.
- 10,000 Reward Money
- 150 Anomaly Points
- Hiroko’s Hot Perm Rods (Nullifies stat debuffs. Attacking deals magic damage.)
- x2 Friendship DX
To be honest, I’m a little disappointed with Hiroko’s Hot Perm Rods. Being able to cancel out stat reductions would have been really helpful during the Junomon boss fight. While converting all attacks to magic damage *sounds* good, it doesn’t make much sense—you’d probably just use skills instead of attacking anyway.
If the game converted all damage types – even physical attacks – into magic damage, that would be a really cool change. Imagine applying that to a character like Aegiochusmon: Holy, who has incredibly high magical ability but whose special attack, Lightning Shower, surprisingly does physical damage.
