The iconic video game series, known as “Final Fantasy,” is universally recognized and requires no introduction. With numerous captivating role-playing games in its lineup, it’s easy to understand why so many enthusiasts eagerly anticipate the release of a fresh addition to the franchise.
What stands out in every “Final Fantasy” game is an abundance of interesting and varied characters that are delightful to engage with. It’s essential to note that some of these characters have had remarkable luck in their lives, which deserves recognition.
8. Faris Scherwiz AKA Sarisa Scherwil Tycoon
Avoided Drowning As A Child And Managed To Become A Pirate Who Masqueraded As A Male

In my youth, I, Sarisa, was believed to have perished when I tumbled from a vessel at sea. Against all odds, I defied death and found myself among the ranks of swashbuckling pirates, cleverly concealing my femininity amidst this band of rogues. Before long, I rose through their ranks, leading them with an iron will.
Her past hardships remained hidden until she encountered Lenna, resulting in an unexpected yet joyful sisterly reunion. Eventually, she found herself back in the realm of Tycoon, restoring her royal status as a princess and apparently receiving forgiveness for her previous transgressions.
7. Vaan
Should’ve Been In Over His Head But Managed To Become A Sky Pirate At The End Of A Wild Adventure

A protagonist from the “Final Fantasy” series, Vaan, possessed minimal charisma but managed to achieve feats through sheer determination and obstinacy. Remarkably, he encountered a band of far more skilled heroes amidst a whirlwind of complex political situations that surpassed his abilities.
Apart from triumphing as a heroic figure, this character eventually realized his aspiration to become a Sky Pirate in the final stages of the game. Despite being somewhat impulsive and reckless, he managed to have a favorable conclusion to his story.
6. Zidane Tribal
Overcame Numerous Dangers, Was Never Imprisoned For His Crimes, And Presumably Married Into Royalty

As a devoted Final Fantasy enthusiast, I’ve always been captivated by the character Zidane – a protagonist with quite the checkered past, involving a dash of unconventional criminal activities. Remarkably, though he wasn’t brought to trial for his transgressions, fate had it that he won over a princess and stepped into royalty through marriage.
After the happenings in Final Fantasy 9, I never faced any repercussions for my actions. Surviving not just my brother’s fury, but also a mysterious divine entity that suddenly appeared, it’s no wonder they call me one of the luckiest protagonists ever in the realm of Final Fantasy games.
5. Yang Fang Leiden
Survived Despite Almost Sacrificing Himself And Became King Of Fabul

In simpler terms, Yang, a monk, temporarily teams up with Cecil during his journeys, providing assistance as they overcome numerous obstacles together. After their successful conquest of the Tower of Babil, it is believed that Yang perished when he remained behind to prevent the Super Cannons from destroying the dwarves.
Yet, it isn’t just that he miraculously survives by choosing self-sacrifice; rather, he ultimately ascends to the throne as the King of Fabul. It turns out that life treated Yang quite favorably, considering his initial expectations.
4. Irvine Kinneas
Reunited With His Amnesiac Orphan Friends And Wasn’t Forsaken After Getting The Jitters Before A Mission

Even though he encountered the Guardian Forces, Irvine somehow managed to keep the recollections of his time with the orphanage heroes intact. At times, he might appear peculiar, yet he doesn’t receive much criticism for his actions.
It was arguably his most fortunate instance when he stumbled during his task and couldn’t bring himself to shoot Edea from afar, despite her being a maternal figure in his life being ingrained in his memory. Remarkably, neither the rest of the group held it against him nor did they punish Irvine for this misstep.
3. Krile Mayer Baldesion
Replaced Her Grandfather And Somehow Had All His Skills Bestowed Onto Her

It’s undeniable that witnessing her grandfather pass away was a deeply traumatic experience for Krile. However, in terms of gameplay, luck seems to be on her side. Although she is new to the party, she mysteriously gains all of Galuf’s powers without any clear explanation provided.
From my gaming perspective, it feels like a stroke of luck not to start from scratch when it comes to leveling up a party member. It’s quite the boost to jump right into the fray as Krile, a Warrior of Light, without any prior experience under my belt. Wielding this newfound power, I find myself squaring off against formidable beasts, yet somehow managing to navigate through the challenges with relative ease.
2. Yuffie Kisaragi
Despite Being A Thief Who Causes Problems For The Party, She Is Accepted By The Group

Initially coming off as a sneaky and elusive figure, Yuffie eventually wins hearts with her golden heart, gradually becoming a beloved character for fans to adore. Despite starting off by avoiding the group whenever possible and making it difficult to bring her into the party, she eventually grows on people.
As a devoted fan, let me share my thoughts on an aggravating moment from the series: It’s infuriating when characters find themselves in Wutai, only to have Yuffie swipe all their materia. I can’t help but wonder why she was welcomed back with open arms instead of being shown the door for such a selfish act!
1. Yuna
A Summoner Lucky Enough To Be Surrounded By Supportive Friends Who Helped Her Break The Sacrificial Cycle

In the realm of Spira, a perpetual cycle of devastation exists, and the key to ending it lies in the selfless act of a summoner’s sacrifice. Yuna embraces this mission wholeheartedly, even if it means giving up her own life. However, she’s fortunate enough to be surrounded by friends who refuse to let her give up her life for what they perceive as an unjust cause.
It was fortunate that Fayth activated at the moment when Yuna was about to make the self-sacrificing move. This resurrected Tidus and Auron, who together saved the world and spared Yuna from a futile journey. As a result, Yuna lived on, initiating a fresh era for Spira. Alongside Rikku and Paine, she eventually became a cherished J-pop idol.
