This article contains spoilers from One Piece’s Elbaf Arc.

Summary

  • Rayleigh was a Haki monster with immense power, feared even by the Four Emperors in his prime.
  • Sengoku and Whitebeard were also formidable users of Haki, rivaling even the Pirate King, Roger, in strength.
  • Garp and Joy Boy showcased exceptional Haki abilities, with Joy Boy’s Haki even surpassing that of Shanks.

In the realm of “One Piece,” the passage of time has brought about significant transformations, particularly since the advent of the Pirate King era initiated by Gol D Roger. This Pirate King era has persisted, leading us into what some now refer to as the New Age. The New Age is brimming with novelty and has its own trailblazers, but enthusiasts are reminded that the golden age of piracy was equally thrilling.

In this time period, there existed certain incredibly powerful figures, who held unquestionable control over the seas. Among these sea rulers were some particularly formidable users of a skill known as Haki, earning them the nickname ‘Haki beasts.’ Granted, not everyone can become a Haki beast, but a select few exuded such an intimidating presence that even their adversaries trembled with fear just at their sight.

Rayleigh

The Right Hand of the Pirate King

As a passionate fan, I can’t help but marvel at the exceptional mastery Rayleigh shows in wielding Haki within the world of One Piece. Even though he doesn’t possess a Devil Fruit, his formidable presence poses a significant threat to many. This is a testament to the immense power he wields with Haki, a skill that was undeniably formidable even in days gone by.

In my view, even as I’ve grown older, I’d stack myself against the Four Sea Lords without a second thought. That’s because, at the peak of my powers, my mastery over Haki and its exceptional capabilities were in a league of their own.

Sengoku

The Former Fleet Admiral

During the Sengoku period, and amongst very few Marines, Sengoku is one who possesses Haki. It’s been explicitly stated by Roger himself that Sengoku was a formidable adversary for him. Furthermore, it’s well-known among fans that Sengoku had past rivalries with Whitebeard.

In simpler terms, Sengoku is incredibly powerful with an exceptional level of Haki. His stature is such that he’s often compared to legends like Roger and Whitebeard, and even commands their respect. This suggests that his power in this realm is truly colossal.

Whitebeard

The Captain of the Whitebeard Pirates

In simpler terms, Whitebeard was an incredibly powerful individual who lived in an earlier era, renowned for his mastery over Haki. He held the title of the strongest man on earth, a status earned through his control over the Gura Gura no Mi, a devil fruit that could potentially obliterate the entire world. Moreover, Whitebeard was proficient in all three forms of Haki, though his skills may not have been as polished as those of legends like Roger.

In his elderly years, Whitebeard was an incredibly formidable figure, leaving one to ponder just how immense his power would’ve been at the peak of his abilities.

Garp

The Hero of the Marines

In the realm of One Piece, Garp is famously recognized as the Legendary Marine. To numerous pirates, he’s a legendary figure. Similarly to Rayleigh, Garp doesn’t possess any Devil Fruit power, but he stands among the mightiest who have ever lived.

In battles, Garp solely depends on Haki as his main weapon, and he has significantly improved his mastery over time. During the Final Saga, Garp’s use of Conqueror’s Haki was evident when he attacked the Pirate Island, causing immense devastation. However, even in his old age, Garp felt let down by the power of his abilities, which leaves one pondering about his skill level during his peak years. It goes without saying that Garp’s Haki is among the most powerful demonstrated in One Piece.

Gol D. Roger

The Late Pirate King

In the bygone era, the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger, was renowned for wielding the most powerful form of Haki. His strength is legendary among fans, and since he lacked a Devil Fruit, it’s clear that his mastery over Haki must have been exceptionally exceptional.

Amongst the formidable monsters wielding Haki, Roger was arguably one of the mightiest, and this fact speaks for itself. In combat, he could hold his own against Whitebeard, who possesses a Devil Fruit, suggesting that at minimum, his mastery over Haki surpassed even that of the strongest man.

Rocks D. Xebec

The Mysterious Captain of the Rocks Pirates

In the realm of One Piece, the character known as Rocks D. Xebec remains an enigma, shrouded in mystery. The full extent of his abilities and whether he possessed a Devil Fruit power are unknown to fans. However, what is certain is that anyone who possesses a power level akin to his must be an Haki-wielding titan.

It’s plausible that rocks exhibited all three types of Haki, a point that shouldn’t bewilder any fan. Considering it required a combined effort from Roger and Garp to defeat him, and given his apparent victory against Roger in battle, it’s clear that his Haki was exceptionally powerful.

Joy Boy

A Mysterious Figure from the Void Century

In the world of One Piece, Joy Boy is without a doubt the most powerful user of Haki we’ve encountered. While he technically isn’t from the previous era, he belongs to an ancient era within One Piece lore. Fans witnessed his Haki through Eiighty-Seven, during the Final Saga. This Haki was so potent that it could cleave the heavens apart on its own, defeat all Vice Admirals simultaneously, nullify the abilities of the Five Elders, and send four of them back to Marijoa.

This Haki instilled an icy fear in Imu and caused him to scream out in agony. Joy Boy’s Haki is so powerful that it’s often compared directly to Shanks’, suggesting it’s of the highest caliber, surpassed only by a select few elite characters like Shanks in One Piece.
