How To Play Hyper Light Breaker With Friends
To enjoy a cooperative multiplayer experience with your friends in the game “Hyper Light Breaker”, you’ll first need to create a Private multiplayer room. Once you’ve been transported to the Cursed Outpost, which serves as the main hub for the game, make your way to the counter on the left side of your commander, Pherus Bit. He can be found standing near the doorway that leads into the Outpost, opposite his position.
Go ahead and hit the Interact button (usually R1 or RB) when you’re at this counter to unveil the Multiplayer menu. This menu allows you to establish your own Breaker Team, join an existing one, and review your Invitations. To play alongside your friends in Hyper Light Breaker, choose “Create Breaker Team”.
As a gamer, let me guide you: In the screen that appears, toggle “Password Protection” to ‘On’. Then, type in your preferred password in the designated spot below. This game supports teams of up to three players. Once you’ve set up your exclusive Breaker Team, feel free to invite up to two friends via your platform’s social services such as PSN, Xbox Live, or Steam. Enjoy the game together!
As a gamer, when my gaming buddy’s online, a friendly invite will show up right in my Multiplayer menu’s “Invites” section. But if they’re offline for now, I can still share the game session invite link with them, which they can use later to jump into the action!
Your team could potentially appear in the common directory of Breaker Teams, where there might still be openings. If all other means fail, your friend can manually search through this directory and join your exclusive group directly.

Random Online Matchmaking In Hyper Light Breaker
If you’re keen on playing multiplayer mode but don’t have friends who possess Hyper Light Breaker, you can take advantage of the game’s public group feature. This allows anyone to jump in. You can easily establish your own public group by following similar steps without setting a password, or you could join an existing one at random using the matchmaking system within Hyper Light Breaker.
Inside the multiplayer interface at The Cursed Outpost, choose “Join Breaker Team”, which is the second option from the top. Then, navigate to the bottom of the screen and opt for “Join a Random Public Breaker Team”.

The game will search for accessible public Breaker Teams without passwords and if one is found, it will assign you to it. Following a brief wait and a short loading screen, your character will join the Breaker Team creator’s world.
To exit a multiplayer game, navigate to the counter in the Cursed Outpost and open the multiplayer interface. If you’re currently playing multiplayer, you’ll find an option at the bottom of the menu to leave your current session. Select this choice and you’ll be returned to your own world. Alternatively, you can also choose to quit the game altogether to end a multiplayer session.
