Disney Allegedly Suffers 1.1TB Data Hack

As a fan who has witnessed the aftermath of multiple high-profile hacks in the gaming industry, I can’t help but feel a sense of unease and disappointment upon hearing the news about Disney. The thought of 1.1TB of data being compromised, including unreleased projects and personal details, is truly alarming.

Multiple sources on social media have shared allegations that Disney has suffered a cyberattack, resulting in the theft of approximately 1.1 terabytes of data.

Based on the report from ‘Nullbulge,’ they allegedly managed to infiltrate the company’s internal Slack platform, which reportedly contains approximately 1.1 terabytes of data – this includes unpublished projects, concept art, login credentials, and personal information that could potentially be at risk.

The group has not verified the authenticity of the reported data leak, providing only a single piece of evidence in the form of a screenshot displaying several files. Disney has remained silent regarding the claimed security incident.

If it’s accurate, this would be another instance of a major company experiencing such extensive data breaches in recent years. For example, in late 2022, Rockstar Games fell victim to a Slack intrusion that led to the leak of around 90 videos related to GTA 6 online. Likewise, Insomniac Games encountered a significant breach in late 2023, resulting in over 1 million files being exposed.

Currently, it’s unclear just how much data has been breached, but if the allegations are true, we may soon discover a multitude of undisclosed projects. Notably, after Nullbulge made their announcement, their website went offline, preventing anyone from accessing the data.

We have reached out to Disney for a comment on the alleged hack.
