As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for all things Disney and a soft spot for Scotland (who doesn’t love a good haggis?), I can confidently say that ‘A Very Scottish Celebration’ is an absolute gem of a quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley’s The Storybook Vale expansion.
In Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Storybook Vale expansion, I embarked on a heartwarming journey titled ‘A Very Scottish Celebration’, which was Merida’s last Friendship Quest. This adventure revolved around creating a traditional Scottish feast for the entire valley community, filled with joy and merriment. The quest was a whirlwind of crafting decorations, preparing sumptuous meals, and organizing everything for an unforgettable celebration.
‘A Very Scottish’ celebration also has some trickier resources and ingredients to get hold of, including Topaz and Salt Crystals. Here’s everything you need to do to complete the quest and get some fabulous rewards for your efforts, including the Tartan Celebration outfit.
How To Complete A Very Scottish Celebration In Disney Dreamlight Valley (Merida Level 10 Friendship Quest)
How To Start A Very Scottish Celebration
To initiate “A Very Scottish Celebration” in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you first need to build a strong bond with Merida, reaching Friendship Level 10. This is achieved by completing her Friendship Quests, including the ‘Change Your Fate’ quest at level 7. You can expedite this process by spending time with her and offering her gifts, particularly her preferred daily items. Once you have reached Friendship Level 10, interact with Merida and choose the “A Very Scottish Celebration” dialogue to begin the event.
Talk To Scrooge McDuck About Supplies For Merida’s Scottish Banquet And Decorate The Vale With Banners
As a gamer, I set out on my quest by approaching Scrooge McDuck to discuss provisions for Merida’s grand Scottish Banquet. To my delight, he handed over some essential items, making my task a little easier.
- 10 Clan McDuck Banners
- 10 Clan Dunbroch Banners
- Scots’ Banquet Supplies
Use the Furniture menu to adorn the Vale with Clan McDuck and Clan Dunbroch banners in various locations, including The Bind. When you’re done arranging, have a conversation with Merida to hand over the supplies for the Scots’ Banquet.
Cook The Salt-Baked Sea Wolf Recipe
Please remember to check your email inbox to find the instructions for the Salt-Roasted Sea Wolf recipe, a delectable dish from Storybook Vale. To complete the task and prepare enough food for the feast, you’ll need to create three Salt-Roasted Sea Wolf dishes using these essential ingredients:
- Three Sea Wolf fish
- Three Salt Crystals
To catch the Sea Wolf, fish at the blue waves found near The Bind’s water perimeter. To find Salt Crystals, cast your line anywhere beyond the ripples in Everafter, such as in the expansive river within The Wild Woods. Once you have prepared all the dishes, make your way back to Merida and converse with her to hand over the Salt-Baked Sea Wolf.
Place The Scots’ Banquet Setup Somewhere In The Storybook Vale
Afterward, Merida presents you with the enchanting setup for the Scottish Banquet, a charming wooden canopy that serves as the venue for the grand meal. Feel free to position this anywhere within the three unique biomes of Storybook Vale, such as close to the Clan banner decorations or near Merida’s cottage. Navigate to the Furniture menu to effortlessly place the Banquet Setup, which will create a delightful photo opportunity with various Valley villagers partaking in the festivities.
1st: First, capture a snapshot. If you wish to converse with Scrooge McDuck, do so before engaging Merida in chat about the banquet’s success. Keep in mind that if you speak to Merida first, you won’t be able to discuss the quest with Scrooge. Merida seems upset that the Lorekeeper was unable to attend and asks you to have a heart-to-heart with them in the Library of Lore.
Gather Supplies To Craft Merida’s Fate Tapestry
Following your conversation with the Lorekeeper, the last task in ‘A Very Scottish Celebration’ is to create Merida’s Fate Tapestry, as the Lorekeeper requests. Here’s what you’ll need to make this special gift:
- 20 Petrified Wood – from mining rock nodes in The Bind and small rocks in The Library of Lore.
- 10 Pine Cones – near large trees in The Bind.
- 8 Topaz – found mining rocks in The Bind and the Plaza, plus the Docks and the Courtyard if you have the ‘A Rift in Time’ expansion.
Once you’ve gathered all necessary items, create Merida’s Fate Tapestry at your crafting station and then engage in conversation with Merida to present her the Tapestry on behalf of the Lorekeeper. Subsequently, follow Merida to The Library of Lore, where she expresses gratitude to the Lorekeeper. Once they’ve concluded their discussion, interact with Merida one last time to wrap up the ‘A Very Scottish Celebration’ quest and receive the following rewards:
- The Tartan Celebration Outfit.
- 3,080 Dreamlight.
The Tartan Festive Attire, inspired by traditional Scottish garb like the one seen in Disney’s film “Brave”, features a tartan patterned kilt. Accessorize your character with this outfit directly from the wardrobe selection.
