Key Takeaways
- Some Disney Dreamlight Valley players who bought the Magical Edition of the new The Storybook Valley expansion pass haven’t received all of the bonus content they were supposed to yet.
- Gameloft acknowledged the issue, saying that it’s currently investigating it as a priority.
- In the meantime, the $49.99 edition of the new expansion pass has been delisted from all storefronts.
As a dedicated Disney Dreamlight Valley player since its early days, I’ve seen my fair share of updates and expansions. The latest one, The Storybook Vale, was highly anticipated, especially with the Magical Edition offering exclusive goodies. However, it seems that Gameloft’s latest endeavor has hit a bit of a snag.
Gameloft is looking into a problem that’s causing some Disney Dreamlight Valley players not to get all the contents from “The Storybook Vale – Magical Edition.” This persistent issue has affected the successful rollout of the newest expansion for Disney Dreamlight Valley.
From early December 2023 to late August 2024, Gameloft released the three acts for the first expansion pack of their widely played life simulation adventure game, “A Rift in Time.” Following this release, they unveiled “Disney Dreamlight Valley: The Storybook Vale.” The initial chapter of the second expansion pack was launched on November 20, 2023.
The initial rollout of Disney Dreamlight Valley: The Storybook Vale – Magical Edition wasn’t perfectly flawless, as some buyers are yet to acquire all the content they paid for. In a recent tweet, the developer, Gameloft, acknowledged this issue, stating that they’re currently looking into it. They described the problem as a delay in delivery times, implying that those who bought the $49.99 expansion pass will eventually get everything they were promised. However, Gameloft has not given a specific timeframe for when this delayed delivery will occur.
The Storybook Vale – Magical Edition Moonstones and Exclusive Items Are Missing for Some Players
It seems that there is a reported issue affecting unique items for the Magical Edition and Moonstones in Disney Dreamlight Valley. The special items include an Autumn Manor house style, Storybook Vale Dress and Ensemble, Baby Pegasus companion, and house. Additionally, the expansion package was expected to come with 10,000 Moonstones. Historically, these exclusive items and additional currency were intended to be delivered to players through the in-game Mailbox system. However, according to some online discussions, many fans are yet to receive at least 5,000 Moonstones and all of the bonus items as of November 20th, around three hours after the expansion’s launch.
DDV: The Storybook Vale – Magical Edition Has Been Temporarily Delisted
It’s important for Gameloft that everyone gets the content they paid for promptly, and they’re currently working hard on making that happen. Interestingly, the Magical Edition of the latest Disney Dreamlight Valley expansion pass seems to have been removed from various platforms such as the PlayStation Store, eShop, Xbox Store, Steam, and iOS App Store by 12pm EST on November 20. If this issue continues for some time, it’s possible that Gameloft might consider offering compensation to those players who were affected.
