Many characters in Disney Dreamlight Valley enjoy sending you on treasure hunts! As you build friendships, you’ll often find yourself using the Royal Shovel to dig up hidden items all around the valley.
Scrooge McDuck is also on the hunt for treasure! He believes something valuable is hidden in the valley and needs your help to find it. Here’s how to begin ‘The Treasure Hunt’ quest and start searching for the hidden treasure in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How to Unlock The Treasure Hunt in Disney Dreamlight Valley
You can start the Treasure Hunt quest once you’ve become good friends with Scrooge McDuck – specifically, when you reach Friendship Level 8. You’ll also need to have already completed his previous quest, “What’s Bad for the Business,” which becomes available at Friendship Level 6. This new quest continues the story from the last one, focusing on the mysterious gold coin you got from Ursula, the sea witch.
How to Complete The Treasure Hunt Quest in Dreamlight Valley
To begin the “Treasure Hunt” quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, talk to Scrooge McDuck in his shop. He’ll tell you he believes a golden coin from Ursula suggests treasure is hidden somewhere in the Village.
He hands the player a coin to help with the investigation. When the player uses the coin, it turns into a Memory Shard. This shard, when used, reveals a Memory showing three photos of different areas in Dreamlight Valley, pointing the player to where they need to go to find the clues.
How to Find All Memories for Treasure Hunt in DDV
Once you access the memory, Scrooge will tell you to search for clues at several locations throughout the valley. Here’s a list of where you need to go.
- Glade of Trust – Locate and dig at the sparkling dig site on the eastern side of the large lake situated at the top of the biome.
- Merlin’s House – Inside Merlin’s House, collect the note from the floor in front of his desk.
- Dazzle Beach – Locate and dig at the sparkling dig site on the eastern side of the beach, in front of the ramp leading into the Forest of Valor.
Once you arrive, use your Royal Shovel to unearth the memories. Keep an eye out for shimmering, glittering patches on the ground – that’s where they’re buried.
