Timebending lets you collect unique items lost in time. This role was introduced in the A Rift in Time expansion, along with the Royal Hourglass tool. You can assign the Timebending role to a villager using its manual. For example, the wise wizard Merlin could be a good pick for this job. Below are the materials you need to craft the manual:

  • 10 Dinglehopper
  • 10 Pink Bow
  • 5000 Dreamlight

To locate the Wooden Oar, Dinglehopper, and Pink Bow on the mystical island called Eternity Isle, utilize your Hourglass for guidance. After gathering these objects along with sufficient Dreamlight, head over to a crafting station where you can assemble the Timebending Training Manual.

How to Change a Villager’s Role in Dreamlight Valley

After creating a guide (manual), it’s time for you to pass it on to a friend so they can learn a new role that you desire for them. For instance, if you want Mulan to switch her job from Mining to Fishing, you will need to provide her with the Fishing Training Manual. To gift a villager a manual, just engage with them and select the ‘I Have Something to Give You’ option. Then, pass on the manual from your inventory to them.

Keep in mind that this can only be done after hitting friendship level 10 with a villager.
