When the sequel to the video game series known as FNAF was released in 2014, it delved deeper into the obscure history of the FNAF universe, taking us to surprising, thought-provoking, and confusing realms. FNAF 2 provided answers to some unresolved questions that were introduced in the first game, such as explaining how the animatronics became possessed. Throughout each night, players have the opportunity to play a series of minigames reminiscent of Atari games. These mini-games often depict the Puppet, a new marionette animatronic introduced in FNAF 2, placing masks of Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy on what appear to be the bodies of deceased children (referenced through hidden Easter eggs throughout the original FNAF game). The minigames hint that the Puppet is resurrecting these children and putting them in animatronic suits. However, while the second game provided answers, it also sparked numerous unresolved lore questions, fan theories, and enigmatic references.
